Pop an STi panel filter into your STi PPP and be amazed at the difference this cheap alteration has. No hesitancy low down and I'm positive its pulling harder and more responsively.

Maybe the drop off is more on the STI? Got pics of the graphs?

Is this under normal driving or just when you're pushing on?
I seem to be returning about 19.5 mpgs over the whole tank - and that's with quite a bit of Driving Miss Daisey! I was returning about 24 in the R32 with the same driving style!
How much harder does the PPP car charge under full boost than the standard one?

would it be worth getting the PPP to keep the warranty, and then go to TSL and get it re-mapped a apart from the map itself pretty much everything else is the same?
I have been told that your local scooby dealer dont have the ability to read an ecu so they cant tell on a normal service, and if you had to send the car in and there was a chance that they may look at the ecu (for a specfic problem) then you can reset the ecu?
Is this true and worth doing?

Get PPP for the warrentee and stick with that...or go for the 333 like remap and have no engine warrentee.

cheers for that, the things you hear via chinese whispers.
Suppose i just have to decide what is important to me, think the PPP would be the one as it will probably leave me with less worries/ stress in the long run, is it going to blow/ get damaged etc.

I have an STi PPP and have driven a TSL tweeked STi regularly. The TSL is good but the difference between the motors doesn't justify blowing your warranty IMHO. By all means get it 333-ed after 60K/3yrs, but there is plenty of room to tune your PPP in the interim to keep it interesting. e.g. suspension/brake/new back box tweeks. Especially suspension, which is attrocious in standard set-up. Then you can go a bit mental after the warranty is up.

i wouldnt say the sti suspension is attrocious, its provides a suitable set-up that is easily capable of out handling most cars with a suitale compromise between comfort, speed and tyre wear with understeer built in as thats easeier to correct.

i have the prodrive springs on already so its wheels and power next then may be some pods (as i have always wanted some).
Having read your comments Hugo i am now more pointed in the PPP direction rather than the 333, both for the warranty and for piece of mind.
