Of course I can see a difference.

One form of animal abuse supports an industry and is done out of the way to one type of four legged carnivore.

The other is carried out to man’s best friend.

Steve

PS I agree that the fox numbers need to be controlled, it's the fact that some people want to enjoy the control method that sickens me.

I think we basically need to lead our lives in a way that doesnt hurt any other living creature, if you need to kill something kill it quickly and humanely, hurting another creature just for sport or fun is barbaric, I dont see why fox hunting is any different to 'puppy footy', just because it has a tradition behind it doesnt make it right, if you need to keep Fox numbers down, shoot them.

And the worst cruelty, listening to Brian, mc F*cking Fadden.

There is also a strong link between child animal abusers, and them going on to commit murders of humans in later life.......

you missed the point!!!

its not about humane!!! a rifle is a line of sight killing method... if you cant see it you cant kill it..

dogs dont need to see the prey to hunt...

if you had to make a choice, carry out a humane execution of every fox, rabbit stoat weasel etc that could potentially be infected, how many do you think you would get??
but in your humane clinical way, you wouldnt get everything.

unfortunatly stark reality must take over. you must eliminate any potential threat / riisk of carrying a fatal disease. and you must utlise any methods available.

You are not wired up right People like that are a product of the nanny state and are thinking very clearly. They do care that its wrong, which is why they do it.

Where do I send the donation for the fund to ensure these little ******* get a good kicking when they 'come of age'?

Society is being ruined by PC correct idiots who stupidly tjink they are justified. Its just a shame we cant sue the lot of them in the European court for misrepresentation of public 'requirement' over their own ambitions.

That picture of the rescue worker cuddling the pup prior to euthanisia is bloody heartbreaking.

Words cannot describe the contempt I feel for the "people" who did this.

Dogs are amazing animals they love us, we often think dogs are here to serve us,protect us from others and guard our property but the question should not be what they can do for you but what we can do for them??

They give their complete love to the owner without asking for anything in return, just a sight of the owner makes their day and if your hand has no food to offer they will still lick you and play with you for nothing in return.

Their loyalty will only die with them, what these "kids" did to this puppy is more than any dog owner can take, if i had been passing at the time not only would the pup have been put down!!!!

The morals of society are dropping dangerously there should be no room for these people.

I think forcing them to read some of the repetitive ignorant ramblings of some our most monotonous "its all Tony's fault" brigade would be a pretty harsh punishment.

Failling that though, just leave them in a locked room with me, Diablo and his Rotties. I think we could 'convince' them never to touch another animal ever again.

I think that including muggers, murderers, and torturers, they should officially be given the same treatment that they gave to others!

Thanks for clearing that one up

But I fail to see the point of spending thousands if not millions trying to sort their mental state out.

I'm sick to death of nasty little ***** getting "help" for their actions. All this "oh dear, its not their fault crap"

Quicker, easier and more of a deterrant if the consequences are as if not more severe than the actions.

There was a piece in the local paper on Friday saying that a 21 year old was assaulted at 1:30 in the afternoon in a quiet street (just round the corner from us). The Police were looking for witnesses to this un-provoked attack!

I must say I was a little suprised as it's a nice place we live in . The Wife has been speaking to some pals and it transpires that the unfortunate victim of this crime had been selling drugs to Kids at the school gates.

Why the **** are the police scaring the local population into thinking that people are getting randomly attacked - In order to get witnesses for an "assault" on a scumbag - Time for the Police to re-arrange these words "priorities our right get to time"

Well... sure, you can kill mentally challenged people (like the **** regime did in the thirties) or bring back death penalty to save on the food and personnell costs in prison, but that isnt exactly how modern democracies usually handle things...

Claude, mate, live in the uk for a year, experience first hand what many of the "youth" here are like, experience our system of "reform" and then come back and spout about democracy

I never said I agreed with having a democracy (in fact, I said the contrary in the past), just pointing out that that's just another downfall of the system...

In my world, people who torture animals would certainly get more than just a fine.

bring back the birch...cheaper than 'reform' schools and you could get really good value for money by using it on the parents as well

Old fashioned values made for a much safer society where any murder was front page news. These days there is very little moral prevention amounts young teenagers as they have learnt (in the press!) that they are outside the law.

Does anyone remember James Bulger?

Not drawing any paralells you understand, but without posting it, has anyone read what they actually did to the kid?

Everyone is accountable when they become an 'adult', its a shame the slate is wiped clean!

Im not sure if its related to the same incident, but apparently there was a similar thing happened in the north east recently.

Iv just read on another forum that the local paper that covered the story, the shields gazette made it obvious where the bloke that beat the puppy lives. Just along the road from the rescue centre.

His house is getting vandalised already...not that i agree with such action mind

I can't even begin to write what I think about that....

I would have no mercy or sympathy to them.... And I'd also take their parents out for the same treatment.

Hello

Did you read that this story was actually a fake? And the actuality is that

The 31-year-old dad has now admitted to police that he LIED about seeing three teenagers tormenting the dog — and LIED about rescuing it.

He then claimed the injuries had been caused during a “domestic incident” while a very young child played with the pup in his home in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, ten days ago.

Steve.
Yeah right I never believe anything that is written in the S*n. Just have to look how they have 'sensationalised' it compared to the BBC story

If true, doesn't detract though, that some scum bully/s harmed a puppy enough to brain damage it.

The scum element will probably be out in force soon, using fireworks to harm domestic animals
