George is the kiddy. Henry's big brother that can do wet or dry vaccuming, although henry is pretty cheap in costco, about 70 quid as opposed to about £95.00 in argos, you can also get the bags in there as well.

i have got a dyson and it is like the washing machine - rubbish !!

Another vote for Miele. Had one for years and they are excellent for the price. Used to have a cat and it picked up the cat hair no problem. Also deals with the gf's hair (which is long and thick and falls out a lot) very well also.

Beware Kirby salesmen if you decide to go that route. I had to threaten a couple of them with violence before they would get the **** out of my house. My then gf said if I hadn't been there, she would have been saddled with a 1200 quid hoover. They are amazingly good though.

Asked our cleaner what sort of new hoover she wanted and she said Dyson DC05. I suggested a Miele or Henry (stupid bloody name!) and she said the Dyson sucks much better. I guess she's got more experience than most...

My parents have a kirby and they will suck the carpet off your floor. The demo they usually do is hoover your mattress and show you all the crap it sucks out.

Think it comes with a 5 or 10 year warranty. It even has a head light and gear selection lol.

They have a henry for small jobs and outside for the cars. We bought one as very reliable - comes with all the bits you will ever need and about 6 bags - Ive filled one in about 7 months and we hoover 2-3 times a week and have cats also. Cant go wrong at £80.

Simon.
