I think suppliers of any kind that wish to be taken seriously should sponsor a banner ad to help support Scoobynet, as this continual posting of special offers only leads to threads like this.

OK, we've noted the comments above but this has been mentioned earlier this week, we asked the question & no - one replied. We retracted from the potential pricing war immeadiately that it appeared to be one companies only interest (that does not do anyone a favour) but even in their defence they clearly did not have a clue what people meant by banner ad's.
If none of the webteam approach the traders on this issue they are not going to take it on board. How do we sort it ? How much is it? what sort of commitment is required? what are the benefits?
as we stated earlier in the week we will happily consider a banner if the benefits out weigh the negatives but it all has to be piad for. At present we are using our own time to come on here and it only costs the phone bill!. Sure enough we make our little bit of profit on every sale - i would not be here otherwise - but we can cut the prices for this type of business down to the benefit of the BB users because we have not had to outlay anymore to attract their custom. You phone us from Fast Car magazine etc. and you will not get these prices because it has cost £1000's to place the advert.
Does any of this make sense????
To summarise we want to be seen to support the site and its users but we have t balance it with what it costs us to get custome from this means if the costs go up so will the prices. But give us a call and we will gladly discuss it.
I am sure SCC did not mean to cause such a fuss and i would ahve thought they will consider it to.
flame suits on !!
cheers

I agree with everything stated above by Amber, we didnt come here to start a price war, Just a bit of healthy competition which doesnt hurt anyone.
We are interested in a banner ad(at the right price) but make the same comments as Amber on that.

please note, i think to be fair to Amber performance, I approched them for a group discount for the on behalf of sccoby net
A. because of the high price of clear indicators front/side
B. because i had read a thread on here about members keen to get involved in group buys and reduce the costs of scooby products.
myself and others have done pretty well out of the group buy from AMBER, but i appologise
if it has upset any traders/members of scooby net
thanks
(think i should keep my "idea's" to myself in future! dont want to upset anyone else)Richard
