I did see the full series on ebay, on VHS, I thought, yeah I'm 'avin that but read on and found it had all been recorded off the TV

havent seen deerhunter, wonder if it will live up to the hype. after hearing everyone rant and rave about apocolypse now, i was left feeling quite unimpressed.

Another vote for Platoon
Of the films taken from actual events i thought We were soldiers once, and young was better than Hambuger Hill .... and the book is better still, gives some real sense of what it was like and not the gung ho Hollywood crap that comes with most films.

It has to be ...
FMJ is ok, but not a patch on Apocalypse Now. The boot camp half of the film is pretty funny, but I think Clint's dialogue in Heartbreak Ridge is funnier.
