Did you report the initial incident to the police? Your son has been assaulted afterall (presumably through no fault of his own?). How old is your son and how bad were the injuries? I think I would have been more inclined to get the little chav done for assualt rather than detention from the headmaster.

Of course the root cause is due to the fact that both father and son are bullies and there really is only one proper cure for that, which would be my preferred option. However, if you don't know anyone who will do that for you then the police would be the next best option!

thats a fair question if this kid has been REALLY beaten...but i dont think the police will care (should care) about a playground scarp.....if its nothing more than cuts n bruises then i'd leave the kids too it.

is this a regular thing? your kid getting beaten by the same thug lots or a one off?

need to be carefull because if this is a one off and the first thing that happens is his mum goes wading in he'll be in a worse state.......i remember coming home from school bashed about but there was no way i'd tell my folks in case they did what you did.

Tiggs, I agree, I do let my son sort his problems out to an extent. He is 9 years old and came out of school on Thursday with a black eye and bruising round his ribs and back where this boy had knocked him to the floor and laid into him....... this particular incident involves a boy that is ALWAYS beating other kids up, the whole family are known trouble makers and bullies, I just wanted to make it clear to the father that I wouldn`t put up with it like the other parents seem to do as they are scared of him when I asked his son if it had all been sorted his dad flipped, so I gave as good as I got, I know I shouldn`t have retaliated but the shock of him 'in my face' made my blood pressure sky high and a fuse blew.

There is one SNetter I know who I met at the weekend that is 'larger' than this fella,(taller and wider) but I am not sure if would act as my sons father for the afternoon, will have to tread carefully, and ask his wife???????


For all the others.....he nor his wife picked their son up from school today, but I gather from the locals I am talk of the town for standing up to him, something that it seems no-one else was brave enough to do

By the way, in your next tirade, if you also drop in a few choice ego-withering comments like "You threaten to hit a woman but you can't even keep a five-year-old child under control, you call yourself a real man?", he won't know where to turn. Need to think them out carefully beforehand though.

I'm really sorry to hear what has happened to your son at the hands of chavscum. I am a firm believer that my son should learn how to fight and fight well. He is 4 years old now and I want him to join a boxing club asap, then he's going to do some kickboxing when he's a little older then some Ju Jitsu. Puching, kicking and grappling, locks and throws. He will be taught to defend himself and others if necessary from thugs like that. I know people who said their dad sent them to martial arts club at a young age and continued through their teens as a hobby then became real experts who use it to help others by teaching and if necessary defending themselves and others in such situations. One patient that came to see me was having some problems following a fight in the World Kickboxing Championships where he came 4th!!! He teaches children in Rochdale and said that 9 years is when he starts teaching. He started when he was 12 years old and has done Ju Jitsu, kung fu and kickboxing he is a child abuse support worker so he is not a thug at all quite intelligent and very nice and polite.

Be careful with this scumbag you can't trust them. People like this have no honour and do not care whether you are a man, woman or child. Your sons injuries are awful I hope that he gets over it, it will probably make him a stronger person. About the scumbags what goes around comes around. I would love to give him a good leathering for you but you have to also be careful with the law GHB and all that. Go to the school and insist that something be done and go to the police you son has been assaulted. I work in the Healthcare Profession and we have to deal with assaults make sure you keep and eye on your son he may have an head injury. If he starts to get dizzy spells, blurred vision, nausea, vomitting or fluid (watery or blood from the ears or nose get him straight down to A&E immediately and get him checked out.

If you want advice about good places to go for martial arts etc. (Maybe that's not the route you want to take) PM me and I will give you all that I know on the issue.

I hope you get it all resolved... I'm sure you're upset, if it happened to my son I would be heartbroken (He's 4 years old) you are a very brave woman, full of courage and a true mother.

definitely definitely agree with this. sending your kid to martial arts will not only arm them with the ability to defend themselves, but will also teach discipline and be great exercise. VERY valuable imo.

At the end of the day he may be big and a boxer but there are bigger boxers/ ex army men, hit men out there for a wee fee who will do things i dare not say.....approach him and just say you wanted to sort things out and if he acts like a **** again then have a few hundred ready and pm me ;-)
