You all would of been better of buying 22b or jdm, my self i brought a mr 340 now i will wait for the NICE replys. I will say one thing the 340 is an awsome machine you have to drive it for a while to now it. It has its limits like any car and you have to feel them like any car, boring you no nothing. GIVE IT YOUR BEST I DONT CARE I MADE THE BETTER CHOICE
This really does highlight that we're all different, i drove the FQ330, not quite the same car as the FQ340 and really didn't like it for various reasons. I also drove the STi and a STi PPP at the dealers and have found the WR1 to be a much better car and more suited to my needs.

It'd be a bloody boring world if we all liked the same things!

Iain
Apologies for not replying sooner Iain been very busy elsewhere. When I looked at insurance the premiums nearly doubled and I'm with Tescos and my Partners employed by them

As for warranty you are a considerable distance from sunny Southend or are you going to enable warranty claims to be fixed at approved garages?

So are you saying the IM warranty offering is currently the best available in the UK?

Do enjoy your car.
Fast but no personality just listen to the dullness of your engine IMHO
The Scooby engine note just rocks when allowed to do so

I dont think so, Adams car has been just a bag of bits for years. It's finally being built up, but in its current state it wouldnt beat a robin reliant, even in the forward gears.

Chuck is right about the cost of Imports back in 99, my old STi5 RA limited cost £29K from Park Lane, they werent cheap but they outperformed the P1 in every respect worth talking about.

newbury's post is typical nonsense based on regurgitated incorect information on the internet, the WR1 was built to specific order in Japan, it wasnt some rehash of unsold european stock cars. Those tuning comapanies that you say told you that nonsense, I guess they like blowing smoke up their customers *****. I hope they tune cars more acurately than they give out information on a cars originality. If a tuning company told me something like that i would laugh at them and take my money elsewhere. Oh, and you're wrong, the spec of the WR1 was significantly diferent to the STi8PPP, its also pointless saying you should buy a 22B, they are 6 years old, it's a totally diferent market to buyers of new cars. Then you say you have to drive a MR340 to really apreciate it, yet you say, without driving the WR1 or understanding its tech spec, it isnt any diferent to an STi8PPP, you have no logical thought processes whatsoever in that statement. It's good you bought a MR340, someone has to help Mitsubishi become solvent again, it would be a shame to see them disapear, enjoy the car.
