I shouldn't have to buy anything to protect my property from your cats. The fact that I HAVE spent money on the problem shows that I am willing to compromise and that I respect the fact that they are your pets.

If I was so inclined I could quite easily dispose of the damn things and say no more about it. I have motive and means to do so, believe me.

Now, I'll waiver the gratitude you owe me for my amenability, but I will not make any concessions with regard to my right to moan about something that has a negative effect on me, especially where that something's presence is soley for someone elses pleasure.

Putting up with people's cats costs me money. Putting up with my moaning costs you nothing. So, as the more irresponsible of you owners often say, just deal with - you have no other choice.

LOL!

Sorry, don't take it to heart, I am rude to everyone!

I would have used the word "passionate" instead, but the fact your username is Catwoman tipped the balance!

Just deal with it....ok.

Right, dealt with it, err and i still think you're a saddo.

Cheers.

It's part of life. Birds **** on my car, just go "oooh ya fooocker". Clean it and continue. Easy.

As an owner, i have previously said (on stoooopid cat moan threads) that I would pay if damage were caused. However it seems 99% of the time its petty bollox and people need *something* to moan about so a little cat poo is perfect.

Oh, boasting about air rifles etc isn't cool. it makes you sound even more of a geek.

Normally the feeling would be reciprocated, however, since your political leaning aligns so closely with my own I shall give you the benefit of the doubt!

ajm to stop you [please God are you listening]... may I remind you of title and content of the first thread

Pesky kitten advice needed
My gf and I recently adopted an adorable 8 month old kitty from a cat rescue centre.

Our problem with this errant feline is biting. I've been woken up every night since Saturday with this pesky kitty chewing my chin. He seems intent on attacking anything that moves - including humans.

Any cat experts care to offer advice on how to curb his biting?

If I could have found a piccy of a broken record I would have posted it

In the spirit of goodwill I shall respectably withdraw from this thread.

Is there no limits to how accomodating I can be for you "felinophiles"?

This months issue of "Your Cat" (just came out about a week back) has a short article near the back about an aggressive biting cat and the approach taken to stop it. Can't remember what it said off hand unfortunately... fat lot of use I am! It might be worth picking up though. Seemed a bit different to your situation though.

LOL at how this thread went off at a tangent for a while.

Googling "Your Cat magazine" brought up this site about shaving you cat's nose. It would take a braver person than me to attempt feline nose shaving...

As others have said:

- don't let em in the bedroom overnight
- get a second cat to keep him company, female probably.
- gentle tap on the nose + saying 'no' does eventually get the point across
or get a small water pistol, and squirt him + say 'no', that definitely gets
the point across

Oh, and if you want a laff, buy him a 'Panic Mouse' from Pets at Home or similar - keeps our three cats amused.

As suggested already, your cat needs to associate biting you with something.

When I 1st got mine it used to scratch the bed @4/5am. I used to let him out to shut him up. So he associated scratching the bed with being let out. Gradually I've had to change this to putting him in his own room as soon as he scratches the bed.

Mind you I still have to let him out @4/5am as he has found cuter ways of waking me

Bob

PS. If ever you tell a cat off or do something in response to behaviour you need to do it straightaway as otherwise they wont be able to associate your response to their own behaviour.

Personally cant understand keeping cats indoors as it is the opposite enviroment to what comes naturally to them.

He has become much better now - most of the skin on my arms has grown back now.

He did wake me this morning by licking my ear. He somehow knew the exact time to wake me up (well he was 2 minutes late, but pretty good for a feline)

When he bites our hands/arms etc, we just put him straight down on the floor and ignore him. We have a water squirter for when he attacks our feet/legs.

I'll post some pics up later.
