Well I have been around on here for almost 4 years and I have come to really despise Scoobynet as it has cost me a fortune in mods and other stuff I have bought over the years
However after 3 Subaru road cars and now with just a Subaru track car left I still find it a great resource.

matt, I disagree with the far worse custodian pre harj,
an accident is an accident and having it sorted is all you can do. I guess it was perfectly fair for the pre harj guy to lose out hundreds for servicing costs etc.
anyhoo, not the time or place, and you are also right that it is dead and buried.
Still gotta ask though, where is that 360?

I don't know about old skool, but I have some fond memories of Scoobynet / SIDC events in 2000, namely Castle Combe and Trax where I met and received great advice regarding tracking the car from Stef and Pete Croney and others, I was just starting out in the trackday scene and those cheap friendly club events were just the ticket for novices like myself.
I suppose since everyone's being nostalgic I'd better mention the 'Peel and Curry' division, namely Andy tang, Danny Fisher, Andy Barker, Steve Lawson and David Lewis amoungst others, every now and then it still happens
I certainly remember the Scoobynet Xmas party 2000 in London, quite a few old skoolers were there, including that fake copper and Sunilp who turned up with a stunner, only to go home with someone else
Anyway I don't go out much anymore

Whatever happened to Stuart? you know, the one who used to guard Steps?
</bad taste>
Some scary people crawling out of the woodwork here . J, you need to get yourself over to the UK again, and up to Leeds

I suppose I'm old skool too then - registered originally Jan 2000.
DreamWeaver - I did actually meet you at the Oulton Park trackday that you mention where Stef was sporting his crumpled Scoob after a run in with an ex - we were in my other half's white STIiv (gold wheels, black mudflaps, Tommy Kaira bodykit & JUI number plate).
I did hear that Stef was visiting Her Majesty's Pleasure (not sure if that's true).
Does anyone remember Andy Dorrington? He had an RA for trackdays (he was at Oulton Park Jan 2001) and a 22b tucked away in his garage. I saw him at the Brighton Speed trials in September and since 2001 he's had more Scoobs, Evo's, a Porsche 911 and currently has a Ferrari!
Jo
Anyone remember the Scooby airfield day in July 2000 at Abingdon - that was a good day - Colin, Stef (in a Vectra/Cavalier hire car), Tony Quinn, Rich R ... etc

I've been here since day 1 as well. This thread has brought back lots of great memories about some of the characters who used to hang out on here
Some people come and go, but it's amazing how many people from the early days still post on here from time to time, despite not having owned an Impreza for many years
John

Did you lot know Mr Rainbird owned a Subaru as a company vehicle . Not seen Mike for a while, has he still got his white escort cossie ?

Yep the sports bar opposite the Haymarket, that was the only time I met Harj - lucky me it seems
However I think I bumped into you at TOTB3 (or was it 2) - gapped your sparkplugs with Dyney However I'm rubbish with introductions "hi I'm Jay mA on SN" is a bit pants in the real world

I'm reliably informed that there is a regular AA meet for horses in Staines these days
Matt, I'm sorry remembering Adam driving his 22b around is not old school enough, remembering him driving his silver WRX is however

Bloody hell, the memories....
May 1999 - My first rolling road day at Power Engineering organised by the chap now called 'Chins'. I showed the 'performance' guys that it was possible to stick a couple of amps in your car and fit a huge sub box to take two 10" subs!
Trax 1999 - There were 8 Imprezas parked in a row organised by Stef and I was fortunate enough that one of those were mine!
Xmas 2000 - Sports Cafe, it was one of the first meets that my now wife went to. I remember shotgunning two beers at a time. Dancing with everyone's G/F's because "blokes don't dance" A certain 22B owner falling asleep on his dinner because someone had spiked his drinks!
Trax 2001 - Where my car became a mobile wardrobe for Jay mA and Caroline & I became babysitters for David Lewis' daughter!
Bolney 2001 - A great get together, then a convoy down to Brighton, where eight Imprezas led by PTHolt in his wifes BMW 5-series estate took us to Maderia Drive via the main bus lane through Brighton!! And the infamous night where Mark Khan made a video of me on the dance machine!!!
November 2001 - The last rolling road day for my silver MY99! The "No excuses rolling road day" at Power Engineering organised by Trout. Everyone had to give a full list of mods and costs! We were entered into various catergores and my biggest rival on the day..... was Trout!!! The car made 356bhp and 299lb/ft (quite unheard of from a UK car with standard internals at the time) and Trout saying it was a fix and my car needed to be run again...... 354bhp and 298lb/ft.... Dave was a gracious with his second place!
And the various Trackdays I've been to, where David Lewis gave me my first experience of Donnington, Trout showing me what his car could do at Bedford and Mark Khan showing me that bottle is more important than power at Donnington as we were going sideways through all the turns!
I've made so many friends from Scoobynet, and I'm glad they still talk to me even though I drive a Honda!!

As I mentioned earlier, proper "Old Skool" will remember his silver WRX with the dodgy Oriental sticker on the back!!
