Re prices : No-one has mentioned that the all-new Impreza will be revealed this time next year !

That means dealers will be selling Classics that are '3' generations removed (in the buyer's eye) from the new ones in the showroom.

That has to have a BIG impact on Classic and Bug eye values.

If you are thinking of selling, I'd do it by the Spring.

Imports are a lot cheaper in the first place though, for example i can get a very nice STi 8 V-Ltd Spec C from Japan for £16,750, here they are a whopping £21,500 to £23,000 so that is a saving of £5000.
Right, lets just look at your own example.

2.5-3k less at resale

5k less to buy in the first place.

That by my reckoning still makes Jap imports cheaper in the long run.
