better to burn out than to fade away.....

Remember the song Sunscreen by Baz Luhrmann?
One line had particular relevance for me:-
"Get to know your parents. You never know when they'll be gone for good."
Unfortunately for me the advice came a couple of months too late. It's only after a parent has gone that you realise you had a thousand questions you never asked them and you'll never get the chance again.
