We have postings on Scoobycity with problems with local dealers.

Because we all know the Dealers and staff, what we do is have a chat with the dealer to try to come to a compromise.

9 times out of 10 it all works out and everyone is happy.

By taking the the problem.. talking about it and then finding the solution to keep the Dealer and customer happy works very well.

But this would not work on such a national / worldwide site like Scoobynet.

Sumo is a member of the WR1 Owners club.

Sorry to be Picky Chaps....

But if you're looking for a positive recommendation in our area, I've personally always found Monty's in Sheffield to be very very good, Andy. Mine's there at the moment, and I get a twice daily update on its health....

KT Green's Otley Road, Pool-in-Wharfedale.
Give them a try.
I have nothing but praise for Matt, Charlie and the rest of them.

Not connected blah de blah, just happy.

FACT!!!!

i made some observations about a dealers i visited..

post was removed for being "potentially" libelous..

if i wanted to make up crap and lies, id be a super muppet..

the fact remains the dealer in questions premises, attitude and forecourt didnt impress, to the point i wont go back

if it had been watchdog however,, would the sn press machine be jumping up and down screaming libel??

no they,d prpbaly be banging on on how they support this substandard dealer being named and shamed..

its about time sn stood up for its members and took a positive stance.

oops... forgot,, pcsnet !!!

Fact - it's not your company and therefore not your decision
Fact - it's not your backside on the line when it all goes pear shapped.

We've tried to explain this on god-knows how many occassions. It is not our choosing that things are as they are. As Diablo and I have both pointed out - we'd prefer it the situation was different - but it isn't. A little bit of undertsanding instead of constant back biting would be appreciated sometimes.

I recommend Gatwick Subaru. I've been up there once and was more than happy with them. I'll be there again in 2500 miles!

In contrast the dealer who i've bought my last 2 cars from has so far taken 14 weeks to call be back with a price for a couple of add on items. This is after a number of phone calls. Needless to say, i won't be going there again and have bought the bits at the new dealers.

Honest dealer reviews don't seem to worry us Skoda boys Skoda Dealer review.

Steve

PS Another vote for Stan Palmers from my Subaru days. The other Cumbria dealer wasn't too bad but p!ssed me off by telling me that my Euro Import was an inferior spec to the UK car!

I don't come on here very often due to lack of time but I've just come across this interesting thread so I'd like to add my opinion.
Providing that any critical comments are limited to TRUTH and FACT and can be substantiated then it is NOT liablous. I speak from experience and after having taken legal advice.
My wife bought an iten of jewellry from a very famous singer, now dead, complete with
authentication from a member of his family. Christies Auction House and others all stated it is not genuine. We were, understandably, rather pi@@ed off at this having spent 3 grand and said so in no uncertain terms all over many sites and in newspapers in America. Not a thing has happened.
I do think that S/N is overreacting BUT at the end of the day it is their site
Most solicitors will give half an hours clinic for free, you just need the time to talk. Also, other sites will name and shame.
Best of luck with the complaint, M8

2 questions answered promptly! Result!

Don't buy a car from Elvis's used car sales or Jewellry from Chapmans Jewellers.

Haven't got time to read the whole thread, but why not just write to Subaru UK about them? They would not be very pleased to hear about that sort of treatment.

Hmm ive NEVER used them again and never would.

Silly really. Pull the other one or is that a secret clue?

Never heard the bells of york minster

And I've had nothing but good service from them. I guess everyone makes mistakes, but the dealer you talk about is the best I've used in 22 years of motoring!
