once you complete the mission with the jet pack and save the game it will always be outside your house on the airbase. The only way i can fly the apache is to do the training misson 'learning to fly' and just mess about in it rather than doing the mission.

I haven't done many 'missions'......keep getting distracted by all the other stuff going on around me and get involved in that instead! 
Must concentrate and get on with some missions...haven't done many at all, still on the first Island/Area!

Gah!
I just spent ages last nignt on the taking photos of Sweet and other gang members mission.
I kept failing because my memory card was full and only let me take (and keep one picture) Took me ages to figure it out. Such an easy mission too!
