The rest of us battled to bring the job que down, but a soon as you get rid of one job another new one will arive. Don't forget that most of these jobs require further enquiries etc.
Most of us worked a 12 hour shift with no meal or any other kind of break and worked our socks off. We ended the night with more jobs on the que than when we started.
We do try our best for you folks.

and to throw in a typical office quote... its just not good enough!!!!
i saw a program on north yorks police tonight, targetting bikers...
thinly veiled saftey messages being used, speed kills etc..
teams of plods setting up radar traps...
it may have saved a few lives, but did **** all to show themselves in a positive light...
the copper driving the scooby.. came across as an arrogant ****
and they wonder why public support is at an all time low..

Its the shift crews that take on 99% of all other work including the example at the top of the thread. The work is non-stop and we are run ragged. Another busy night shift was done by us since my last post and again no meal break.
So, when u say its just not good enough - what else do u want us to do??

I and members of my family have been victims of crime with no person ever charged. If I were to be caught travelling at say 140mph in my Scoob I would be banned and might receive a prison sentence. However if some 17 year old twoocer stole my Scoob and did the same while being chased by the Police and endangering others he might receive a "community sentence".It stinks!
But that's your courts, government & law makers etc - not the police
I personally concentrate more on TWOCers, burglars etc rather than your average motorist. If i'm not locking them up, then i will stop search/check them where ever i find them - more to annoy and get under their skin than anything.
By the way, if you are caught at 140mph you will probably be fined and banned. Your average TWOCer if caught red handed would receive a custodial sentence. However most stolen cars are found dumped and its practically impossible to find out who the offender was
