I drive a van and it really irritates(not to mention how dangerousit is) me when I start to turn the road(have to do this maybe 20 times a day) and people drive behind you while you're doing it.You can only see directly behind you.You set off when it's clear but there's no side or rear windows so you've got your mirrors and that's it.If you can't see the driver of the van looking directly at you in his mirrors then he can't see you.
When I do it,I try and block the whole road so there's not enough room for impatient road users to try and slip through into my blind spots,even if it takes a little longer to do it.

New_scooby_04, Yeh I was nearly done for ABH at the time, it happened a month ago though, so I've had time to reflect on it n I'm happier that I got out of it without a scratch really. Yep insurance is paying out soon hopefully, then I will get another scoob if all goes to plan Claim is not resolved yet, but its an open n shut case in my favour seein as he cut straight across me without looking. Got witnesses, he admitted blame, etc etc.
