You must get a digi cam! Every time ours goes to sleep, I swear he grows some more!
"Harvey" is 5 months old now and weighing in at 23KG!
Everyone laughed at the "large" size bed we got him, but now he almost fills it!
We decided on a weimaraner after looking after our friend's dog a number times. The owner has no interest in Subarus but his dog is called Scooby!
Ours has had his tail and dew claws done at early age. They are very active dogs (when not sleeping!) so would recommend it.
Another friend of mine had two weimaraner's, called Jasper and Joker.
Theres a few names for you.

call him Biff.
The unix biff utility alerted the user when mail arrived but Ritchie would never explain what the letters b.i.f.f. stood for and no one could ever work it out. Then one day someone visited him in his flat and when the postman arrived the dog belonging to the girl in the flat below barked like mad. Turned out this dog was called Biff.
So, you can have a dog named after a unix utility that was named after a dog :-)

Got to be either Jeff or Geoff. I like Human names for dogs rather than supposedly funny names or silly hidden meanings. Dog lovers always bleat about the dog been part of the family............then why give it a stoopid name??
Cant see it myself...all IMHO.

The only problem with calling a dog a human name, is that when you're calling out for them in the park (assuming that the park concerned allows dogs to roam), you might get funny looks if you start shouting, "Jason! ...Jason! ...Jason!", at the top of your voice.
Having said that...
Rupert.
Mungo or Midge?
(Midge Ure has silvery hair now)

Dunno why just think it sounds funny for a dog
Seriously though nice doggie. Fancy one of them myself. Been brought up with Staffordshire bull Terriers but the missus prefers these and I like em myself.

We named out pup "Stitch" with the best intentions, however, he still gets called "fu*kwit" far more than anything else, on that basis if we get another dog, we will call it that from the start, it saves confusing the poor thing thinking it has 2 names.

Just to spam the thread a little, and for all the weim owners/lovers out there...
They go from this:
To this:
Rather quickly.
Oh, and you *need* two of them for the full weim effect:
Margarite Treble of Kallasilya & Kallasilya Tiemmanite Fortune (aka Maggie and Tia, with Tia being the pup, and Maggie the mother)
Pictures reproduced by kind permission of Kallasilya Weimaraners

They're famous for being amazing scroungers and eating anything. When my parents had their first, they heard one technique for teaching a dog not to lunge for any scraps dropped from the table was to make a sandwich slathered with fresh English mustard, and "accidentally" drop that. We did. She promptly inhaled it, and looked up for more.
This is the fifth one in my life, but I've never known one so young. The first was bought before I was born (1968), the second was a 6 yr old rescue, the third was bought at the age of four months, and the fourth - well, I wasn't there to see the beginning stages.
Love 'em - even if they do howl at 4am...
BTW, ours is looking almost identical to the one in Markus' first photo. Gotta get more pics of the blue eyes quickly, before they change to amber.

Ah, the soap thing, Maggie loves soap, and I think T does, though she has a liking for lumps of coal too! Mad things!
Walls are not safe either, seem to recall chunks of plaster missing from walls
I think one of the most strange aspects of the little grey things, is that when they are born they have stripes!
Brendan, you might be lucky, he might keep the blue eyes

What about Walnut the Weim.
Dictionary states 'Is a two lobed edible nut'
Always good to have a two syllable name for a pet
After looking at Markus's piccies, just realised how much I miss my old Boxer

My fab dog was called Scrabble! Suited him perfectly - watching him chasing after sticks and rocks (loony 1/2 boxer 1/2 border collie!). Kind of summed up the sort of deranged lunacy that dogs have.... have to say he was definitely a few tiles short of a full rack though!

Border Collie - Even more hyperactive
Add them together and it must have been absolutely
