I think what Bob meant was that the sti2 ot the sti2 ra engine would be stronger than the wrx engine of the same year. The fact that its an ra doesnt make a difference. The close deck block is a better platform for moidification as opposed to the sti3 which has the open deck.

Yeah that makes sense, it'll either be a WRX RA or maybe an STI RA if i can find one for the right money. Only thing with spending out more on an STI RA is that i won't be able to afford to do as much with the engine/suspension.

Better engine, DCCD, and a roof vent would be nice though...

Yeah thats true all right but on the other hand if you could manage to afford the sti ra even though it might take you more time to mod it the way you want due to lack of funds as a result of paying more for the car but in my opinion the wait would be worth it. At the same time I suppose a modded wrx ra would also be an excellent car.

My sti2 ra is on the way back from Japan at the moment, roll on.

I tried it in my old UK turbo in a big field in the Isle of Man. I couldn't do a donut, best i could manage was a big circular powerslide. Fun though

Need DCCD...
