They don't make it how they used to!
Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola was introduced in 1886 as a valuable brain-tonic and cure for all nervous afflictions. It was promoted as a temperance drink offering the virtues of coca without the vices of alcohol. The new beverage was invigorating and popular.
Until 1903, a typical serving contained around 60mg of cocaine. Sold today, it still contains an extract of coca-leaves. Coca Cola imports eight tons from South America each year. Nowadays the leaves are used only for flavoring since the drug has been removed.

And it's relatively easy to see if cocaine has been cut - but probably not in the average badly-lit toilet.

I wanna know how people define the differences bewtween the 2 drugs just cos "someone" at some point in history decided one is acceptable and the other is not.
The government have found it increasingly difficult to curb the stem of Cannabis and found it near on impossible to stamp out. The easy solution to this was to decriminalise it with a view to allowing it legal in a similar stance to that of Holland. This way they will gain through taxation and the public who use it will not be subject to smoking / taking sh1te stuff on the market which is cut with huge amounts of soap.
I dont really have an opinion on Coke, i've never had it so i'm unqualified. The reason i haven't taken it is that i'm **** scared of getting to like it and losing everything i have worked hard for.
Coke is a rich mans leisure drug, if you cant finance it dont do it imo.
Anyway i prefer Pepsi Max myself

Stuff i was talking about is Mannite
"A white crystalline substance of a sweet taste obtained from a so-called manna, the dried sap of the flowering ash (Fraxinus ornus); called also mannitol, and hydroxy hexane. Cf. Dulcite. (MI11) HO.CH2.(CHOH)4.CH2.OH = D-mannitol; manna sugar; cordycepic acid; Diosmol; Mannicol; Mannidex; Osmiktrol; Osmosal. Used in pharmacy as excipient and diluent for solids and liquids. Used as a food additive for anti-caking properties, or as a sweetener. Also used to "cut" (dilute) illegal drugs such as cocaine or heroin.

i've tried it and thankfully it didn't do alot for me so won't be having it again unless it was for free . apparently some people are more susceptible to it's effects than others hence some people becoming addicted and not others.
....and IT IS addictive, it's one of the worst drugs out there. do a search on google and you'll find a study where rats were given the choice of self administering coke and eating.
Coke was the only drug the rat would take basically until it died through starvation...in other words it got that hooked on coke it didn't bother eating. This test was repeated with other addictive drugs such as speed and H and the rats would still eat albeit in reduced quantities.
I've seen people get really screwed up coke, become different often nasty people where they only think about where the next line is coming from.
I'm not anti-drugs, far from it lol , but coke does nothing for me.
Oh and the poo effect could be cos it's a stimulant and makes your body hasten certain bodily functions such as **** and poo...i've noticed similar with speed.

I had a feeling you were going to say mannitol. Mannitol is a suger - the laxitave effect is just a side-effect, and most sugars will have a similar effect if you eat too much. One gram of mannitol (realistically the most you'll see in one wrap) I would not have thought would be enough - does anyone know how much the packet recommends? And it's rare.

Here here!!!
But still, would love to know who made this law. Who decided that alcohol (arguiably THE worst drug) is acceptable and a bit of Bolivian Blue isn't.

You've all missed the point of why you have to go for a dump after cocaine. Is it something to do with looking at your bank statement after prolonged use

I think the major difference is that you can have a few drinks socially and still resist the urge to be an alcoholic. Not quite the same with a class A drug as I understand, too easy to get seriously hooked and wind up like the 44 year old who was mentioned above.
I wouldn't touch the stuff anyway, but I like a drink or two.

I would suspect more people pro rata have problems with drink than with class A ‘recreational’ drugs? Holes in your liver or holes in your nose – the choice is yours! I apportion no specific morality with either, as essentially they are both ‘bad ideas’.
I know two people who lost the plot (and then their jobs) with ‘Charlie’. Similarly I know of many more 'pro rata' with drink. What am I saying? Is all ‘social’ drug taking that gets out of hand of similar social and personal cosequence??? Hmmmm?

Probably not laxative as the effect after coke is within minutes(so I've been told!). Would be rare for a laxative to work so immediately. Coke is a sympathomimetic which means aswell as loads of other effects it will relax sphincters.
Mannitol is more likely to cause duiresis than defecation.
Or I could just be talking poo!

It wasn't only the Puritans, but debatably American govt interests as well - The Brits, French, Portuguese, Spanish all had lovely drugs to sell from their colonies, and the Yanks owning only the Philippines had none, so they were jealous
The Puritans in the US also tried banning alcohol soon after, as they also saw no difference. I don't think you need me to tell you anything about that experiment.
One of the many reasons why coke is now illegal and alcohol isn't is that it's (theoretically) easier to control - the coca bush doesn't grow in many places, and processing its leaves into powder takes effort, but you can make alcohol in your kitchen/basement. Witness the difficulties in trying to control cannabis, which grows pretty much anywhere once you get hold of some seeds.
Alcohol is known the world over, and has been since the beginning of time. New Scientist observed that jungle animals were particularly partial to rotting fruit, which had been fermenting in the heat. Banning such a "natural" substance is pretty much impossible.
