Its going to take around a month for all the scabs to come off and the skin to stop peeling.
Be patient. You have to bear in mind that you have a self-inflicted wound that takes time to heal.

It's a fairly thick cross with thin angel wings coming from it, perhaps because the wings are so thin, recovery time (hence the scabbing/peeling) is much shorter?
