Default Tossa order of merit

An entirely biased "Tossa" order of merit based on my daily Kent-Essex commute:-

In first place by a country mile - BMW 3 series, esp 318 drivers
In second place - Audi A4 drivers
In third place - any Chav
In fourth place, though sometimes creeping up on first - a certain motorcyclist often seen ~8:30 on Essex stretch of M25 who will soon be a smear of strawberry jam

I don't think it's just Scoob's that attract this hassle.

I used to have an MX5 which far from being a girls car handled great and was huge fun. I was minding my own business joining M25 from Thurrock, traffic merging at snails pace and let a couple of cars in then thought if I let any more in someone will get the hump, but this meathead in a van got pi$$ed at me for not letting him in and forced his way in then parked and got out and came my way with a large wooden thing. Thinking that as my roof was down I was a sitting duck and if he was going to threaten me with violence using my car against him seemed like a lawful () defence to splat him so as he came towards me shoulting and waving this big lump at me I gave it some serious revs and lifted the clutch and god knows how managed to skid past him, flicked him with the rear of the car (just enough to hurt) and I slithered off though a few fortunately placed gaps in the queue. Only problem was he then got back in and chased after me, I only guess how the wacky race through 2 lanes of a queue looked. Somehow I got away but after ringing plod they weren't interested.

Then there was the time in my Mini Cooper up in Todmorden (up North). Me and missis zipping along, come in to a 30, slow down, just as the 30 ends I booted it just as the knackered Escort with 4 lads behind decides to overtake. As you can guess, they were after me so to cut a long car chase short they overtook me on a blind bend, slammed on the brakes and parked across both lanes! The missis was having a panic attack as they decamped and were coming our way. Full power, foot off the clutch, 4 blokes flying off in to hedges and I'm off in the other direction. Knowing they're a bit behind belted down th eroad, slithered in to car sales lot park up and watch them fly past trying to get me....

There are a lot of nutters out there. I think that it's if you have something that they're envious about that it triggers the hassle. Never had a problem driving higher power standard looking cars. Odd thing is that the cars that trigger the envy are often cheaper than the one's they're driving.

Funny thing is with these types of people that their driving to try and either get passed you or catch up to you/get your attention is usually more dangerous then what you may or may not have done in the begining!!

I have taken some stick on here, usually cause most people are wondering how I was able to get a brand new(at the time) STI8 when I was only 21. And the simple answer is I have worked for it, and have been lucky in the fact that I was left some inheritence by a great aunt. Either way people seem to assume that because we are young men in fast high powered cars that we are always tossers on the road etc.

I do a lot of motorway driving as my girlfriend is at uni in preston and I live in kent and work in london, and consider myself to be a fairly decent driver (probably get slated again!!)due to the amount of miles I have done, since I past my test first time at 17. The fact of the matter is, we all have nice cars, each to our own tastes, and we all enjoy putting the foot down a bit, or else why would we own such a car. However I also know that most of us are good drivers, as for one we don't want to damage the car now that we have worked so hard to get it. I know that if I have a crash which is my fault before I am 24 25 (am 23 this year) that insurance will stop me from owning my car even if I do get it fixed, as it is high enough as it is already, and that is with a few years no claims, and 1 and a half years no claims on the Impreza itself.

Anyway have said all I want to say, keep enjoying your cars, we have all worked hard to get something we enjoy, and yes other people maybe jealous and call us w**kers, but that is because they believe we get these things for free, the fact of the matter is we all sacrifice things for items we want, I know I have, and very happy with my car and my life how it is!!

I dont think its just scoobs that attracts unwanted attention. I was in my mates new Evo 8 the other day, going thru town and we stopped at a Zebra crossing to let some of the wildlife cross the road when next minute theres a load of chavs walking/limping (think they must have pebbles in their shoes or something) past giving us abuse... " ooo look you in yer dads car..." my mate is 27 and Im 29...WTF??

This was followed by my reply of this is what happens when you get a job and a life.. you can buy things..

Fcukin to**ers!

Oh... smash their faces in

Good Luck
Jesus christ it feels like Xmas already.

Apples - Go to the Royal Mail website and enter the tracking number to find out where the parcel is. You shouldn't take that attitude, stay calm and try and sort it out properly, maybe even exchange phone numbers.

Bighead - Its close to Xmas, Royal Mail tends to get really **** this time of year.
Its worth being careful in these situations, how will you feel if the item turns up.
