I've got a reply from a question I asked
I'm sure it is a nice Type R, but I'm still a bit dubious about the 350bhp claim TBH.....
"You wrote: Sorry mate but there is no way that is 650bhp, apart from anything else it's still using the standard intercooler!!!!! It's a really nice Type R, no need to fabricate false power claims to sell it."
You are right,typing error.sos. actual bhp is app350 or there abouts.but it is a nice car though.

Seems to have a decat and "air cleaner", and that's the only engine mods mentioned . . . probably over 300 on a cold day at G-force's rollers on 100RON fuel, perhaps even at PE's too? However, unless there's more mods that aren't mentioned, can't see it would safely make over 300 on optimax at powerstation, let alone 350.
The last comment also looks a little ambitious. Comfortable beat unmodded UK scoob turbos is probably fair, but "eat EVOs"?

LOL - brilliant! Is this being cruel?
'Dear idealcars1,
Hi, I might be interested in your car, however, can you tell me how you think it is 650bhp? These cars are officially 280bhp and that is on Japanese fuel, not UK fuel. If it is 650bhp, can you tell me exactly what engine modifications it has had and who did them. Also, are you willing to get the car dyno'd? thanks, Matt'
/****!
oh, apparently it has a 'traction and differ control for use in slippy weather ' ! hmmm

OK, 650BHp was a typing error but what about the "OVER 500 BHP" claim he makes in the actual title

Asked him for the model code :
"Hi, would it be possible I can have the model code please, it will just give me an idea exactly what it is. Will be something like GC8HK8D. Many Thanks "
"thanks for your interest in the Subaru.the model code you asked for is EGC8 and the engine code is ej20.thre has been a typing error with the bhp,actual bhp is app 350 or there abouts.thanks"
I think he is trying to be reasonably honest , he just doesnt know enough about modified or possibly modified cars. And most likely mislead by people from where he got it.
Also noticed its got what looks like the "555" series badge on back end, didnt they only have those on the pre-facelift '96s, and in blue
