Nice job you've done there, deffo stands out... You wanna inquire about insurance for a Scoob first... might suprise you what some of us have to pay... some struggle to get insured until 25 / 30...
I payed out not far off 2K last year, it's gone down alittle this year... but its only a MY00 UK Turbo...

Or does it have an engine?
Just jesting, does seem a bit of a wind up to me. You worded your initial entry well, then went all street-talk on us!
p.s. I've seen scoobies for more body kitted up, so don't worry about the comments.

Gotta say, it's not really my cup o' char, but it looks very well done, and you obviously look after it mate.
Just check on the Scooby insurance scene before you take the plunge. Then enjoy!!

Agree with Harry boy, its not a bolt on bodge job, looks very well put together.
I used to hunger after 205 Dimma's when I was a teen so it's just that tastes change as you get older. Hang on, I'm now in my thirties and got a car with a big scoop in the bonnet - s'pose things don't change after all !!

I'm totally impartial *cough*
But read the first post of this thread and expected it to turn into a proper slating, and ...so far... it's not happened.
What's up SN? Friday night out?

im glad sum of you like it...the other can kiss my ***.
until you work on something so unique its hard to get across the joy you feel when you get nice comments. its a real headturner....
but ive decided to sell it after a short space of time and get a scoob...insurance shouldnt be a prob...i have some great plans for sums mods to the scoob already

I have had a couple of PMs regarding a px. (i will get back to you tomorrow)
but most scoobs are a bit more than i can really afford.
I have 1k saved for insurance, but if i put this towards my dream car and don't insure it for a month or two.........well, i've done it! i think thats what i will do.
i dont plan on using the car much for the first couple of months anyway. well you have got to get the essesntial mods aint ya...boost vavle, dump vlavle etc. i dont think i'll bother with neons and a flamer kit until i can afford to insure her.

Sorry mate, but it just ain't right... I payed out £1800 quid last year in one payment when I first got my Scoob at 21... and have re-newed it again paying out over £1500 quid... why should I pay it and you not cause you wanna spend money on modding it...
Mines slowly getting there, but first things first... it's gotta be totally legal... then the running costs and maintanace/servicing of the car... then the mods...
If you drive round in it uninsured... then that makes you one of the many idiots on the road which makes my yearly premium so f**king high in the first place...
Dunno how old you are, but if you've only got 1K saved for your insurance... think you best save some more and stop dreaming...

Not sure what a vavle, or a vlavle is but any Scoob you buy will already have a DV, just not one that makes a silly noise. The quiet OE one in most applications will yield more power, and prove much more reliable by not knackering up your engine. As for the 1k for insurance, you'd better double that if you're planning any mods, otherwise you'll be paying out 1k for NO insurance come claim time and if you're gonna drive without, consider how long you'll be paying if you do have an accident which results in many 000's of hospitol treatment, plus the inevitable dangerous driving charge I'm certainly wasting my breath (typing ) as anyone considering flamers and neons on a Scoob is quite obviously a chav ****

i understand wot you are saying about insurance...but its something i have to have.
can you make a impreza sport make a dump valve noise and i guess you can fit a flamer kit still? maybe thats a better option get a sport and and make it look hardcore! BUT it has to make all the right noises
bit harsch calling me a chav, there must be loads of chavs on this bbs then..its only cos of this site that i have got my inspiration

Come on lads, everyone has to start somewhere, my 1st car when I was 18 was a pug 106gti and i modified that with big wheels, bodykit etc, then just after my 20th birthday bought myself a MY00 scoob, where iv spent loads of money on the performance to take it upto 300+bhp, and i wouldnt dream of sticking big wheels and bodykits and big stereos into it, its just a phase that you go through , and when i was 18, I loved saxo's, pugs, corsas etc, now im 22 i love proper performance cars like scoobs, evo's, cossies, etc, and wouldnt dream of owning the cars that i loved when i was 18, My younger brother owns a modified Corsa, and has spent the best part of 10k on it, ask him if it was worth it, and he would say No, also ask him if likes the car, and he would say No, but due to insurance he has no choice, and until he can afford the insurance on a proper performance car than he has to drive round in his Chav'd up corsa.
