Only too well. Been naughty on that road myself heading back from a day on the hills.
I'd have been more impressed if it was the section of the A82 over Rannoch Moor

Agree, the run down to Bridge of Orchy is excellent. I like the part out of or even coming into Tyndrum
Got stopped after the bridge before Bridge of Orchy last year. 2am and I'm in a rush to get back home. There's been loads of Deaths with cars hitting sheep and deer, so the cops gave me a bo!!ocking and sent me on my way.
There's loads of Deer over Rannoch Moor, so I'm a lot more careful early morning or late at night.

Tyre blow out or a wheel bearing would be interesting at those speeds But we all do it! Like Ozzy says, you weigh up the risk and if its down to acts of god and the only thing you will wipe out is you and a couple of sheep - its your choice. If you can spank anyone else then you dont do it.

some of the outrageous claims on this thread are cringeworthy.
the ones about times seem to be missing the point completely.
I wont bore you too much but there is more to stopping times than anyone has put forward so far...
hows about hazard perception times?
nobody afaik, has calculated the change in two entirely seperate velocities (Delta V)
anyone mentioned those?
it is a simple case of maths but not as simple as stated on here, I use tables from a book, much easier

Heard about this from people who saw the engine after it go BANG
young guy had it & yes he was doing silly speeds, the road he was doing it on is a steep long downhill road.
Seems it went bang big style But he had been warned by people this would happen, but he knew best
Shame as it was a lovely clean P1, had a look at it when mine was been serviced at same dealer.
