The Zimmer bit was a joke !!.
I too have a classic Wagon (definately faster than a real Zimmer) but some people on Scoobynet think that over 50's should be driving around in Volvo armchairs or Galaxy lounges.
Never too old for a fast car, driving a Scooby improves your driving skills and re-vitalises your reaction speeds.
I have had all sorts of comments from 'friends' saying that 'You must be loaded to drive one of those' to 'don't you think that you should have a sensible car'.
They don't understand, you can pay 5-6K for a reliable Scooby, around 5-600 on insurance and still pay less than they do for a new saloon each year (keeping up with the Joneses and their new registration plate).
I don't see them grinning when they get out of their new boxes on wheels!!
Us more senior kids should me more adventurous with our choice of cars, you only live once!!
Now where's my pipe and slippers, damn, missed corrie again!
