I noticed the 996TT's poor laptime also Deep. It did say the track was sodden, but still seems pretty unrepresentative of what Evo, Autocar and a host of others call the quickest real world point to point car on the market..
Perhaps it was tiptronic, perhaps it was a private car and not Porsche UK's so 'Stig' took it easy on it...I just don't know.

Had a play with a Boxster S (old shape) in my Cerbera. Believe me -- they're not slow. Could have probably reeled him in above 100, but what good is that?

Cman,the track was wet for the GT3 and that was much higher up on the board and its not much lighter than the TT?
C'ant believe the Boxster could keep up with a Cerbera at any straight line dash?
