Turbo lag in a scoob out of a roundabout is no where near as bad as being a long way off the VTEC! But as said, you just have to work the box, and I believe the S is 6 speed, so there should be no excuse!

I think someone else has to stand up for the TVR choices....
I defy anyone to spend an hour or two in a griff or a Chimera and not be blown away by the feel, the power, the sound and the looks.
I had a Griff 500 for 2 years and covered 25000 miles in it - ok, it broke down twice.... once was a faulty diode on the back of a new alternator and once was a flat battery... hardly tragically unreliable!
It had already done 36000 miles when I bought it and had a full folder of history from day one so I could see that any of the early 'bugs' had been ironed out by previous owners.
It was my daily driver for most of that time and my scoob just sat in the garage unless I needed to carry more than one passenger!
The griff has the most natural and comfortable driving position I can think of and always felt stable and comfortable even on crap rough country roads.
They drive like a pussycat at low speeds and low revs with so much torque you can drive around town all day without changing from 3rd gear! Dont forget the sub 4.5 second 0-60 rush and the noise when you drop to 3rd at 70 and floor it!
i really think you should find a well kept example and give it a try.
They are a truly different league from the rest of your choices.
