Dont dispair and like some have said do not let these ***** rule your life.
And you are quite sure they were after the car? Maybe they wanted the whole contents of your house and what would you do if this was the case?
Sell your house and live in a cardboard box..?
Don't know if its been asked or you have any but decent CCTV and lighting and extra locks will keep these scumbags at bay. Its obviously working to an extent so far so maybe improve on it a little more...
I honestly don't think this will stop with the sale of your car, i mean, how gutted will you be if you get rid of the scooby and 6 months later they come back to your house with you realising that they are after the house and not your robin reliant...?
Chin up and you may catch the f*ckers and make sure you batter them to death with a big metal torch.
Don't use anything else like a baseball bat, as a torch is the only thing that will stand up in court in your defence of "self defence"

Four attempted thefts in one year? That's shocking. You and your family have to feel safe in your own home, that comes above everything else.
You are right, if they can't get past the security they may well go for the next "easiest" target which will be you or your missus. Your best option would be to move somewhere else, somewhere you can park the car out of sight.

If it was me I'd put up machine gun implacements and sod the Alsations I'd have a brace of Dobermanns to teach the Barstewards what right and wrong is all about.
My home is my castle and should anyone try to get in my home with my partner and son there I will do everything in my power to sort them out. I'm probably more of a target than most people having two Impreza's, mine and the other halfs, and our next door neighbour having one to, all parked on our drive outside the house, but we have talked about it and we are not going to let them beat us. We've worked our bollox off to get where we are, and I now have the "perfect life" with my partner and my dream car so beware scumbags ever come round to my place and you'll bite off far more than you will ever be able to chew.
Don't sell your car mate, it will be the start of the errosion of your whole way of life, and if you think as much about your car as much as I do it'll break your heart
Here endeth my rant.............................

robuk, some great words there, however there are some that believe in fighting for what we believe in and defending our way of life and others that are just not up to the job of upholding there own god given rights...

Thanks for the kind words one and all.
It is hard to put into words how upsetting it is for my choice of car to be dictated to me by some sack of sh*t thieving b@stard!
I have wanted a scoob since I saw a McRae edition years ago - I never deamed I would have the opportunity to own one.
I was lucky enough to get a new job four years ago that gave me financial means to buy the car of my dreams & I was as happy as Larry. I'm sure you can all appreciate how upsetting it feels to have to sell the car, but the wife is afraid of what comes next when the ***** try "other means" to get the keys.
The house is like Fort Knox at present but they still come back. I love where I live & have spent time & money turning our house into a home and so the car is now a liability which must go.
The last thing I want is something like this to happen in my house!
I am certainly not afraid to tackle these people - as I did on the first occasion - but I am not prepared to put the wife through the worry of what "may" happen.
Sorry if I'm ranting but I'm a tad miffed!!!

keep the scoob...plant a bomb in it... when they finally have it.... remotely blow them up (and scoob)... popo will assume some freak accident after they tried to burn it.... you get money through insurance, get a new scoob... society is better with less *******... and you can get a new scooby.

If my wife were threatened, I would do the same Spufus i.e sell up.
That said, trip wire in the garden, razor blades under the door handles would be nice. Have you seen Home Alone?

it's got to stop
Surely we are now reaching a state where we can defend our families, house and belongings with the same respect for the scum as they show us, i.e use the force required to stop them !!!!!!!. the police and govt. need to get a grip on the fact that they can't cope and give us a chance to defend ourselves as we see fit without being prosecuted harder than the perpetrators. I don't know what I would do in a situation confronted by people wanting the keys but I feel I would rest easier if i could turn the t*ats inside out with a double blast of 12g SG shot.

I've got it !
Extend the house into the 1/4 of an acre you said you have out the back, knock a fooking big hole in the living room wall at the front and turn it into an attached garage, complete with central heating.
Scoob out of sight and in the warm!

i just bought my first scoob an i'm already worried about being broken into an being asked for my keys......
it seems they mainly go for newish cars that can easily be taken out of the area or abroad to sell.
my dads had a porsche for quite a while an never had any probs tho.
i've told my family to always be on the alert if they see anything suspect!
gana get an alarm on the garage too.

don`t let the ******* win, must be some way to wire up outside cam to your alarm clock! as soon as it comes on your alarm goes off so you can go get your baseball bat and cave their heads in,,, if this can`t be done repeat comings and goings to get your pride and joy? i would sit up all night till they came to say to them hello to my bit of 2by4!!!
and to GRIFFM:- watch the news this week??

You can link a camera upto a auto sensing light so when the light comes on it starts recording, you can also attach an alarm to it like you say which will wake you up...
Only buy good quality cameras as theres no point trying to identify someone with a camera phone quality picture
