Top for kris, pics are on page 1.....can't believe I still own it! For the benefit of anyone else who may be interested, it's now ( almost ) standard, and £7500.

Is that really a TOW bar I see on the back what was you thinking...?
Does it elec folding mirrors or is that just a Jap Import thing?

Kris, the car has never towed anything....it's only there to hide the number plate from Gatsos. It's been removed since the pics were taken. My Evo will be getting the same mod! No elec mirrors I'm afraid, as you say, Jap import thing.
Graham, are you happy with the ECU?

yeah ecu seems fine andy, was hunting a bit when i first put it on but after 6 runs up the 1/4 mile she's running sweet!
now looking at buying a vf24 to bolt on and get the map tweaked (£300) which should give me a nice round 300bhp!

Graham, be careful mate, hunting after changing the ECU can be a sign of a knackered maf sensor...take it easy 'til you get your knocklink up and running. If you think your maf in fcuked, mail me, I've got one somewhere you can have gratis. Try disconnecting the battery for half an hour....if it hunts/stalls immediately after you reconnect and drive, replace the maf.
Kris, yeah, well, needs must.....used to drive into London every other weekend to see the in-laws. Loads of cameras on the A316. Towbar saved me a few times, and the police don't seem to bother about it.

Hi mate, don't want to worry you, but that's a classic knackered maf scenario imo. It's only showed up when it did because, by changing the ECU you've effectively done a reset. It sounds like your maf has been gradually on the way out, and when you've changed the ECU, has taken a day to re-adjust. You can have this maf I've got free ( subject to me finding the thing! ). Unless you can find out for sure that it's o.k. take it easy. Send me your address again if you need mine, and I'll post it out.

pmacFTO, couldn't be further away, I'm afraid, I live in Southampton now, doesn't make it easy! Sods law that you're going to Durham, I'm from close to there originally. If your serious about a Scoob, it's worth the trip though. Nice long journey home to make friends with it!

Thanks for your help Graham, hope the maf does the job, it's definately o.k.

I cannot believe you haven't sold this yet Andy. If anyone is in the market for a late, clean, fantastic value, well-looked after classic you can do no better IMHO.

Andy, maybe you should sell the Evo instead and enjoy driving a proper car again!!!!
