Why do you buy an expensive watch?

All I need now is a BIG dog, hen Ive got the full set
I new there was something I forgot I have a staffy which is an 'ard dog but it is not quite the same as a bull mastiff or rottweiler that never gets walked so ends up really over weight and unhealthy . Then I could take it to the shops and tie it up outside and let it bark and scare old grannys who are trying to get their shopping done. I might call it rex or sabre and put a studded collar on it to help look really cool.

This particular thread is not really going anywhere, but I did see an Omega today at Selfridges in the sale. Very nice indeed. Stupid price tag. So the logical conclusion is...(see new thread)

I have one and love it as well and it is soft as ****e with people but nearly exectuted a border collie that was trespassing on my land. I got the dog off a lady on here called sara squares (who i may or may not have spent a day phoning from my pocket a few weeks ago)

Anyway, I remain unconvinced about spending £2k-£3k on a watch unless you have an exceptionally high salary/disposable income or masses of savings. Taking a loan out or repaying over 12 months is sheer stupidity for something that just tells you the time.
As for good looks, you can get some nice Lorus/Sekonda/Seiko watches.
As for reliability, a Casio G-shock with 10-year battery will outperform most of the luxury exotica costing thousands!
So it basically boils down to having a 'label' - the very epitomy of chav behaviour!
