Was that in Darlington by any chance? Cos I have seen a modded Micra over that way, but only from the rear.

Unfortunatley not, in Gateshead near where I work at.

Would have been an OK car except for the scoop, it was ridiculous and I somehow don't think there was a GTiR engine in there to justify the need

I'm not sure what it is about daft styled cars, but I am glad that they are around. All those daft Novas, Escorts etc etc. Some of them look truely awful, but for some reason after seeing a really awful example it makes me feel better for the rest of the day.

A small grin appears on my face each time I think about the most recent daft example of what I have seen, especially when I think how much they have spent to create such a mess. In most cases, that cost being the price of my Scooby

I've posted in another thread about some alarm problems that I am having with my classic. Basically the mobile phone network is causing interference with my alarm locking me out of the car. There are ways to work around this, but they are far from ideal.

One solution is the upgrade from a Subaru dealer, but that is looking to be between £100 - £200.

So my question is this. Where can I go in the NE that is really good a fitting decent alarms at reasonable prices. May I also ask what alarms people would recommend. A basic Cat 1 alarm, that can also act as a Turbo Timer would be all that I am after.

you would be paying more then £100/£200 for a decent alarm IMO

maybe better of getting as upgrade from subaru and keeping your current setupd

Yeah, I'm looking at my options before I make my mind up. The obvious problem with the Subaru setup is that people will know whether they can, or cannot defeat it before they attempt to nick your car.

If you have an aftermarket alarm they may get a surprise when they try and take the car. Perhaps an aftermarket system is more secure. I know when I was speaking to my insurance company they rated manufacturer's Cat 1 alarms as lower security than aftermarket Cat 1 alarms....

if sumbody was going to nick your car, they would nick it fully expecting all the toys and a tracker IMO

if they want your car they will be expecting to have to deal with sum decent stuff
what im trying to say, is if they want your scoob, they will just take it!

Damn right.

When my badges got nicked from my works carpark I had a go at the security staff for not doing their job. Mates Evo also had badges nicked.
What happened, an official complaint went in against me by the security staff,
******* Tw@ts, for having a go at them. Donkey C@nt muthafcukers

Mind you it did lead to a few extra cameras being put up, but working for the NHS and having to pay to park to work takes the p1ss, especially when half the time you can't get a parking bay

It's bad enough having to pay to park when visiting someone, But having to pay when you work there is really taking the ****.

PFI - Private Finance Initiative, what all new hospitals are built on. A private firm is not going to give anything away, and that includes staff

I think its called a stealth tax.......

Not that I am against PFI or anything !
