It's up to you if you don't want to buy a Rolex to tell the time.

Stick to your sundial.

lol.... whats with all the bitchiness peeps.... I sometimes get the feeling that people with real expensive rolexes cariers etc... cant stand the thought of someone having the "Same" thing for so much less

Anyway...each to their own... for what its worth... my business partner is always complaining how badly his rolexes keep time

For £100....there are some good honest watches which look very respectable IMO.

My 2p. I wouldn't buy a fake luxury watch as i'm not solely a label person. I bought my Breitling as i'm an engineer and i appreciate the quality of workmanship, the time that went into crafting it. The historical aspect is nice too, very old Swiss company that's still family owned.

I don't flash mine about, and am usually dressed in jeans and t-shirt at work. I didn't buy it for other people to gawp at, or to make them think "look how rich that bloke is". But I do get a nice warm 'this is a real piece of quality engineering 'feeling when i put it on in the morning. or look at it to tell the time.

Good reasons for buying your Breitling Iwan - I bought mine simply because it's the bogs boIIocks!

Guys,

I have just deleted the posts where the insults started flying. Please stick to the guidelines and by all means dicuss or even argue, but don't let it become a slanging match otherwise I will have no choice but to move the thread to Fight Club.

Thanks,

tiggers.

Well, that too.

Seriously i don't see the point of buying a fake. I'd always know it was just some POS with a Breitling badge on it, and that just wouldn't sit right.

If i didn't have the Breitling i'd still be using my old Seiko Kinetic, for the money you can't go wrong with those.

I agree. But they don't pretend to be something they're not by having "Cartier" or "Rolex" plastered all over them. For £100 you could get a nice Seiko, Rotary, Pulsar or even a Swatch. Or, as Yoza will tell you, a Poljot.

I've got one of these:
-- it's a Swatch and was only about 60 quid. Swatch own one of the big expensive watch manufacturers too (I think it might be Rolex or IWC).

Actually, I just got it out of the drawer where it's been for over a year. Although the face is a bit scratched and the date is wrong (because it hasn't been corrected for 30 and 29-day months), the time is 15 seconds ahead of my new IWC that I set yesterday against an MSF clock

This Poljot:

which is obviously a copy of a Breitling (but isn't crass enough to say "BREITLING" on it) is only $240, so around £130.

How funny to see two clowns ruining a thread. I doubt that your combined IQ is more than two figures.

Haven't been on this board for absolutely ages, thought I'd pop back in and see what's been going on, looking at this particular post, wish I hadn't !

Petty and pathetic, is all I will say about this, maybe if one of your Mates had been killed by this recent tsunami, you'd have thought twice before posting a most crass reply.

If this is the standard of Scooby owners these days, I'm glad I drive something else now.

I never made a joke about anything, so could you kindly point out who/what you are referring to if it's not too much of a strain.

At least you are honest in admitting you are a total ****.

It would seem that you, bigknob, were the first person to bring the tragic events into this thread.

You are a sick individual. I hope you never reproduce if it means even an ounce of your thinking will be passed on.

Morepheniac hit the nail on the head. Why the **** i am doing a "mods" job anyway is beyond me. the comment should have been vaped or thread lock right away. enough anyways. red mist has lifted and i am back to my normal self. can we be friends now purleeeesee

Given that it was you who posted the 'crass' reply, I don't see how you are doing the job of a moderator.
