Defo letter of complaint...probably jealous that you have a nice car. Doing 60mph over road humps with daughter in the back yeah right? Just some sad coppers. Not all coppers are sad...just the odd few.

Unfortunately these days there are more 'bad' coppers than not, especially in traffic..!
I know a lot of people 'in the job', most of them >10 years, and they all wan't out as it's now full of little hitlers who, by their toss-pot actions, make the few good ones job impossible..!
With regards to phoning when you've been burgled, you are kidding. Unless you've been shot they'll just give you a crime number..!!!!! (or if you've given the ****** who broke in a lesson in community spirit, then you'll get SWAT turning up and throwing the book at you..!)

It's a cack road too - far too many speed bumps to get any turn of speed up

When you file the report why not mention that he was lucky you were driving the Scoob, otherwise you may not have been able to brake/swerve in time to avoid getting the shovel out of the boot.

but on a serious note, even if i'd have braked in straight line I doubt, I could have avoided impact, albeit under 5mph I saw a Man, Woman and Youth and not Drunks, Yobs or Muggers otherwise I would have been already on other side of the Road, just in case.

A few years ago, Me and my 20yr Son in my Old Subaru, can across a parked car on the road with a Pedestrian at the back, I thought was broken down. As I tried to pass, he thumped the Car and dented the rear wing

After 10-15 phone Calls to the Police, my 20yr old Son was never interviewed or Statement taken. The main retort given was "Your insured claim on that" WTF and the bloke was never Charged
So I wonder, if I Kicked the Cr4p into the snotty Copper Panda Car. He would have said "That's alright as it's Insured "

most are ok its the odd one or two with a real attitude, i had one from west yorkshire (wont mention his name) but he was a right tw@, pulled me over, me and my mate decided to get out he shoved my mate back on car and proceeded to lecture about if it was up to him he would rip up our licences, and how cruisers were scum of the earth (this was a few years ago now) he also claimed he was going to do me for no insurance by ringing my insurance company and telling them i was racing on the highway so to invalidate my insurance,( i didnt let on i worked for insurance co lol) when he rang me to tell me there were no charges at all he said he wouldnt be telling my insurance, i just laughed and told him it might be something to do with the fact that i was innocent.

Seen so many of these now, police hating threads. I just can't believe we're all wrong, you know? There HAS to be a problem.
I have zero respect for them at the mo, I reckon they are just bully boys, enforcers and tax gatherers for HMG
And as for ringing them for any help, yeah, OK if alls you want is a crime number, go ahead. Otherwise, sort it yourself!

I probably wouldn't if it wasn't for the fact I'd need the Police report number for the Insurance. When my nan got burgled we rang straight away, no-one turned up for 3 days. We were promised forensics would be there in a couple of hours, 3 years later we're still waiting.
I understand what you're saying, and I honestly believe that a few bad eggs ruin every police officers reputation, the same with scooby drivers. But it's the over zealous policing of traffic offences and the lack of attention on everyday crimes that alienates the public, and creates the hate towards the police force.

I think I'll quit while I'm ahead more trouble than it's worth.I have found, like many here, most Traffic Cops are Top Quality
