Rolex...eerrmm..fraid not..good watch but you can get a lot better for the money. Its all personal taste of course.Ive had 2 rolex submariners, the 1st one was ok,but time keepin was poor,12 o'clock pip on bezel fell out.2nd one,the auto mechanism went faulty costing over £300 to repair and pins on the strap were poor quality causing the bracelet to sag after time.Having owned 4 previous Omega's(sea and speedmasters)i have never had a prob with any.
Your old mans co axial, depending on model of course, could easily be worth double his seamaster.Again it depends on model of seamaster too. Some go for as little as £150..
Cheers

no his seamaster is more or less identicle to urs but regarding the co axel i dont have a clue
he always said to us that we had no clue about watches n i used to laugh it off, looks as though he was serious about his prices lol
the most robust watch ive had n still wear at times is a Seiko Kinetic, I cannot see ma self spending prices such as them of the Seamaster, id go out and buy another car lol

My Seamaster.
Top watches. I NEVER take mine off and it still looks as good as new.

Dealer offered me £550 and quite openly admittted that he would put it in his window at £800 and probably take £750.
He also advised me that with the watch still being under manufacturers warranty it would be a good buy for him,as he wouldnt have to warrant the watch himself!!
Anyway..i didnt sell it too him but it gave me a fair indication of what im likely to get for the watch..

thanks fatscoobyfella
gives me a good indication , not that im even remotely interested in selling it at the moment. they are a crackingly built watch and thats a bargain for that money.

Excellent watch i agree,if watch doesnt go to good home i will keep it.They dont seem to lose a lot of money after initially buying them..People on e bay are still asking £600+ for a 3-5yr old watch..
