Very nice, surely the best thing is going to be punishing "rude boys" at the lights....

Its 2.5 Turbo with around 260bhp standard, with the Miltek and a UK remap we should see 300bhp ish.

There are a couple in the counrty already however we decided that as a model report didn't exist for the STi we wanted the V5 to actually say Forester STi and not try and bring the car in through a loop hole which would have meant the V5 stating we had a "Camper Van" making resale difficult. We had to wait perhaps another couple of months while Iain Litchfield sorted the paperwork but its been worth it.

Being a recent Forester convert, I wish I would have afforded an STI , but at over £20k more than I spent on my S Turbo, it was a little out of the price range!!!

Enjoy!

How different is the STi from a UK XT (2.5) bar the wheels and extra horses? ie can an XT be tweaked (easily) to getting close to the STi? Heart ruling my head would get the Sti but practicality rules and the XT is the best I can hope for at the mo (if my flat ever sells)

Styling, looks, handling, rarity, SPEED!!! Even the UK XT with PPP will not approach the power levels from the STi.

I guess it could be done. You'd need 18" wheels, tyres, STi springs, shocks and other suspension bits. Then you'd need a lot of body parts, maybe sell some body parts to get the money. Plus a 6-speed box, STi intercooler. Block is the same as far as I know. Then some STi seats, unless you wanted to keep the XT armchairs... Not sure about diffs, and you might want different gear ratios.

You could see if Iain Litchfield could get the Forester Cross-Sport, that one looks closer to the STi than the XT, but less power and probably cheaper.

I know what I'd do....

I'd order the STi....

In fact I've done exactly that

By the way Mrs. Mog - well done for blazing a trail, hope you are enjoying the car. Mine will be a Crystal Grey one, so that will bump the official numbers as far as 2, one Blue and one Grey, excluding any 'camper vans' of course !

A week or two to get it on the boat, about a month on the boat, and a week or two at this end sorting it out, so early April I should think.
