Class! Shouldn't be long now. I'm sure she could end up in trouble if it was known she was letting the flat to someone involved in crime and decided to do nothing about it.

Just like the Police D.I who we had to take to the County Court a couple of weeks ago as he didn't want to pay his bill to our company. He made such a moving speech to the District Judge about how it would effect his job if he lost. Such a shame for him that we won!!!

Yes I think you will have to collect all the evidence that you can-list of annoyances and bad behaviour, with dates and times as well whatever they are up to which id illegal, and then lay an official complaint with the police. Then write a letter to the press if they take no action. You will have to force the issue somehow.

I don't see why you should have to put up with that kind of behaviour.

hope it turns out alright for you. I have got nightmare neighbours and have had agro all summer long with their kid breaking the trees opposite, riding bikes across my lawn and screaming and shouting all night. the best is when they get in their car, it is a 1 litre polo and they revv it for about a minute before wheel spinning down the road at speed (which is 1 way and there are lots of kids living here).
they are renting and can't be got rid of until june 17th.. (not that i'm counting).. they make vikki pollard look like the poshest bird on telly. i don't mind chavs (i am allegedly 35% chav myself - as recently discovered via scoobynet!!) it is their mindset, agressive and nasty.
until you have got them living near you, you have no idea what an impact they have on your life...arrrrrrrrrr

OK Update:
I told her the situation, she then said there is nothing she can do about the dealing. She is going to see them on thursday morning to have a chat about the mess and noise but as i pointed out to her on the phone she will be nice as pie to her but as soon as she leaves it will be back to normal
It also turns out that my lovely next door neighbour has stated the reason she makes the noise is because i bang on the walls ... WTF
This is not going the way i expected it to..... i would have thought that being a police woman she would be duty bound to do something?????
I also asked her if the tennant is DSS and i was just told that the way she pays is between them two! Now why did she not just say no she isnt??
Is there any way i can find out if she is DSS??
What a bloody nightmare this is turning out to be

Question

Just a thought, but are the police allowed to let or sub-let their properties? I am sure that (in the past) they had to ask for formal permission - they can't do things that might compromise their integrity and impartiality!

Even more so if the tenant is a drug user!

And if this is true, i wonder why the police themselves are not showing a great deal of interest

Could be a real hornets nest

Stick with the softly-softly approach, but keep a record of EVERYTHING that goes on!

Well i am not sure what is going on now, Owner police woman has just called me back and changed her tune Sounds like she has mentioned it to someone else who has set her straight
Apparently she is giving the woman a written warning on thursday and will take it further. Thier tennacy ends in March and she said she will be looking for a new tennant
Woo Hoo looks like i am finally getting somewhere.... I will not let this cow win

I'm going to have to put a flame suit on for this one!

Ring your local council, ask for the housing benefit dept. "tip them off" that her boyyfriend is living with her as are one or 2 other people.

Ring up the socail security grass someone up line. Tell them the same thing. You won't need to say who you are.

Both places will look into things if she is on any sort of payment. Housing benifit will be stopped whilst they review her case. Hopefully the owner will get fed up waiting for it to be sorted and kick her out.

You could ring Crimestoppers for good measure and say a police officers flat, which is currently being rented out is knowingly let to someone dealing drugs.

It could be that hearing the same thing from another owner in the block has backed up what you have to say. If the tenant had always been polite in her dealings with the landlady your comments could have seemed out of place.

Or it could just be that the police woman has looked at her contract of employment and thought about how much trouble she will be landed in if you kick up a fuss!

Update : Owner has agreed to not renew council birds tennancy in March and is considering action to get rid of her sooner rather than later Would appear i am not the only one to have moaned about her
She is comming round my house one night this week to witness the nightmare first hand then take it from there
Result
Suppose i had better get ready for a few bricks through my windows

That's good news. I hope it all works out ok.

The easiest thing for her to tell the tenant as to why she won't renew her tenancy is that she is going to sell it.
