As with you, if i accelerate hard in 4th or 5th, it starts slipping for a second or two, then it picks up like normal.
I am in two minds what to go for as a replacement!

How long could i limp around for as have insurance to pay for this month!
Would ideally like to wait a while longer before having to replace it!

Mikey
Mikey,

Mine was actually not too worn at this stage so would have gone on much longer but you damage the fly wheel more if you get down to the studs so the sooner the better to change it.

b - They are only rated to around 210 - 220 BHP allegedly but as you can see from this thread they cope with more than that.

c - don't know didn't measure it

d - Yes mine is a GC8 - they only do one for GC8

e - mine cost about £120 so that sounds a reasonable price

f - they are not the same as far as I know but the plate on mine was stamped with exedy so I'm not sure.

Ian
Ian,

Thnx for your reaction, other guys as well.

So, if I read this section good, the plate is probably up to a good 330BHp...
Does anyone also know the figure for the torque?

My old clutch is now in the gearbox, for a good 128.000km.
So if think it's a good time to change it.
It also slipping. Even second gear isn't capable to hold it between 3000 á 4000 rpm. below and above is no problem.

I will have to whole lot done, and will make pictures also.
THe Faq from 22b.com and collections from this Forum, I will read carefully.

Does anyone know, where I can download the manual (garagemanual) for the Impreza MY99?

I'll keep you all updated.

regards,

Hans
