so 'ang on from
totting up 12pts

so does that mean even though its on my license, it actually makes the license like a new 'un cos i did my time (banned 3 months)

told a few people and said , i was (stupid) actually they said honest for that automated question thing.
they said i should have lied and made myself sound good,

the worst one was i said i was very shy,
to55ers

some of the questions, it sounds like some dateline thingy.

i thought all companies nowadays want hardworking, honest, reliable people.
not some party animal.

Cool

Each set of points becomes 'inactive' after 3 years, after 4 years you can get them removed by sending your license off. So you could have 12 or more than 12 and still be driving having served a ban or having not had out of date points removed.

Anyway, as said you must have experience that would be very useful to an employer. I would go down to B&Q and ask to speak to someone who deals with recruitment, take a copy of your cv and ask them to glance over it and ask why you wouldn't be worthy of an interview. You probably won't get invited for one but at least you'll get an idea of how to improve your cv and what they're looking for.

Oh ye and all employers are into team players, they want someone who will integrate into their team, say your shy and quiet and they will think you won't, If you can, tailor your cv to show you have worked in teams, 5 a side football, a college project, a school play, with others when you were self employed?

Hi,
Im a uni student and in the summers etc im a temp. Always looking for staff to do all sorts.
So far ive done;
Produciton line packing, driving new cars off ferries, industrial cleaning, highway maintaince etc.
If you need money, thats the way to go. Work nights and bring home £350-£400 a week, and with no life you save loads.
I was with LEDA agency.
Kam.

If youve been disqualfied as a 'totter' then you come out with a clean licence at the end of your totting disqualification....although you will still of course have to declare the fact that you have the convictions if asked...

Hi,
I took it easy, and worked 8am til 4pm. Brought home £250 a week, i think it was £5.50/hr. If willing, you can work nights, and other temps were bringing home £350-£400 at least and it was easier as the main boss was asleep at home.
There are numerous agencies, Leda recruitment is just one type, IIRC Medrian is another.
Dont do the factory work unless you have to- you get treated like **** and is mind numbing. Try to do industrial work, as its the summer and you end up outside enjoying the sunshine. I preferred these kind of jobs, as when I needed time off, you just didnt ask for work.
All the best. Any questions just ask.
Kam- PS I think Leda is North only, but you WILL find a local one.

Also- they are always looking for temps, aslong as your alive, you will probs be offered work, I used to work along side convicts etc. no offense, that was just an example.
