Earings? In men? Either side denotes a chutney ferret of the highest order whether in or out of the closet.
Tattoos - well not always as black and white - theyre not a sign of brown loving just a funny way of finding out whether art you liked in your 20's is still as appealing to you in your 60's....

I look at piercings and tattoos in the same way as I do Halfords car ornaments like stick on chrome wheel arches and turbo stickers. Certain people believe that adding an aesthetic ornament to themselves or their car makes them/it better (and sometimes it may do). The problem arises when they believe that adding 3 ornaments is 3 times better, and so on.
Before you know it you have piercings and tattoos everywhere and look like skanky heroin addict/ex-con and your car looks like the archetypal "chav-mobile".
Less is more, and none is best.... IMO...

There's a less than bright bloke who goes in one of the locals near my parents. One of the lads asked him to show us his new tattoo..... It was "Atomic Kitten" with what is meant to be a cats head underneath the words 
The bloke is almost 40!!! ha ha.. It was terrible!

Hands up anyone who'd actually like to meet Pete in a pub and see if he's as opinionated then. It does make me chuckle but it's also frustrating because every now and then he might actually have something sensible to contribute and I'm afraid it'd be lost amongst all the drivel.

I'm with ajm and Pete on this one. Tattoos and ear piercings are the equivalent of Elizabeth Duke at Argos. Still, if people wish to disfigure themselves, I'll not stand in their way. They'll just look incredibly stupid when they're on a SAGA holiday and have a saggy tribal band adorning their bingo wings!
