New Astra ......... I like it
#31
The Astra at the Autosport show (the red one in the piccy above) is/was a concept model only. They called it the Astra HPC Concept.
I thught nice looking too, 'specially ith the Recaro armchairs in red. But, I still wouldn't buy one because it has a Vauxhall badge....Now I have always thought if it was an Opel badge I would reconsider the marque.

I think stylistically, Vauxhall have been lobotomised. How can the Opel version of the same car look so much better? Get rid of the attrocious V chromy crap AND the tailgate chromy crap and spend some money designing proper logos and badges.
I like the VX220 and Opel Speedster.
Why on earth would anyone buy a new Vauxhall? Wait 12-24 months and pick 'em up cheap (or in the case of the VX220, cheaper).
After Griff Rhys-Jones and his nutty professor, though, I can't think that the VX220 will EVER be cool.

I get x% off too as my dad used to work for them and I have a GM card, we're on our second car so far. Buying new for less than used forecourt prices - now that's cool!
I was looking at a full loaded V6 Signum with 18's, fancy zorst and body bits, about a £25K motor for under £20K, I considered a monaro but can't afford the VXR or the fuel bills for a V8
