It would indeed be a shame.... using "rsvp" is a very unusual way of signing a message on a bbs.... almost certain to direct a would-be "detective", by way of the search function, directly to his man.....

So; if a new member joined, read this post and used the search function to find posts containing the phrase 'RSVP': then outed this dishonest scrubber, theyd have their brand new membership revoked? Wouldnt that be a shame?

So lets get this right type rsvp in the search function and 1 particular name comes up time after time?

It does Andrew; but to suggest, on the BBS, that this man is a dishonest scrubber who shouldnt be trusted under any circumstances, would jeopardise your ScoobyNet membership so please refrain.

so let me get this straight, if a person was to name this individual, who set out to rip off another member and is still selling things their account would be disabled. Hmmmmnm, what if the account used was merely set up in order to taunt a certain easily upset individual and as such is disposable?

If he's dishonest enough to PS pictures to sell parts, I assume the car he's breaking is stolen?

Just read through this thread

What a sad **** the seller of these seats is i think Scoobynet moderators should ban him immediately-but i suppose he would log back on under another name
You have been unfortunate to by from this scoundrel >
But at least with the detective skills ppl now know who he is

I would see him in court its what he deserves

i dont get it - basically its like harbouring a known criminal. thats why shops/companies get away with ripping off the public, all the people in the know know that they are doing it but have to keep quiet so people will continue to get away with it....bang out of order...

See my poll here Keep it clean please and we'll see if we can get something done to try and help protect other users.

This has nothing to do with moderating at all and is asking a genuine question about the other members opinions.

Surely posting a link to this thread in the FS threads is ok, nothing is being accused or "named". Just an "interesting link"

Weird, I bought an airbox off the same guy and it was exactly as described and even had an HKS panel filter in it which was a bonus. Then again, Cheshire isn't as far from Lancashire as Bucks is, maybe he didn't like the idea of me popping round

Hope you get something sorted.

I was thinking that .... he had a lot of items to sell off the car and sold them as it appears - did he just cheat on the interior as that was his top ticket item??

What did others who bought stuff think?

Pete
