Now now Ben, don't drop to his level. Saying that I did see a balding ginger guy in his 40's driving a light blue MGF, with the top down! I did p%ss myself! He thought he looked the nuts. He even glanced across at the lights and looked down his nose at me. My m8 thought it was brilliant!

well, as a fellow p1 owner myself i'd have to say that prodrive did a fantastic job creating this car and i for one wont be changing my car for anything else. if someone decides to slate the car itds upto them.but i know for a fact were and are lots of owners of the p1 that would say different!!

it seems to me that quite a few people think that the p1 is a waste of money and that they would rather buy a type r and spend the rest of the money on mods which does make sense.but you never hear any body put the wr1 down.why not buy a sti and spend the rest on mods.
if i`m honest i bought my p1 because i could`nt afford a 22b which i would prefer and i wanted a ltd edition scooby.after owning my integra r it`s my belief that the ltd editions keep their money well.

Default haridresser

if PSlewis does own a MX-5 then he is a hairdresser!!

No need for me to defend the P1, it stands alone up there with the 22B and RB5. PSlewis is only slagging us p1ers off cause he can't afford to go out and buy one and also have the backup funds to run it!!

would love to know where he stands on the 22B? come on lewie spill the beans!

take a look at these pics and tell me that it ain't GGOORRGGEEOOUUSSS!!!

Thumbs down

We've known for a while that the troll's skill in punctuation and spelling has been badly lacking but now...

51 for sale on AutoTrader, about 50 others available which are not in the Trader, out of what? 1000 built? 100 must have been scrapped by now which leaves 900.
...we know he can't add up either.

Just in case you didn't get it; the correct answer to the troll's wind up is 801, not 900.

I've had both a P1 and a STi Type R, and I prefer the P1 to be honest. Slightly lower spec admitedly (no electric folding mirrors, climate or water spray IC), but you gain ABS and much more sensible gearing for every day driving. The biggest selling point for me however was the warranty, as my sti5 went pop at 30k miles!
Means you need to keep the P1 fairly standard, but with a 500bhp Skyline in the drive, that doesn't worry me too much
Insurance is cheper on the P1, and the std wheels on a P1 are nicer than the Sti's too.

IMHO of course.

Oh no it isn't.

1000 made. Pete's estimate of 100 scrapped leaves 900 P1's still on the go, out of which 51+50 are for sale. So his statement that 100 being for sale out of 900 examples still available is approximately correct.

Your statement is therefore in error.

BTW, PMSL at this thread. You guys crack me up, why do guys always rise to it ?

It's just like the muppets who always rise to Mike Vandeman on alt.mountain-bike...

The only issue I can see is... IS pslewis a fooking d!ck for brains? I feel that he might well be. Clarity by others is welcome. But I think this will only go one way.

Ben,
I have tuned my UK classic Impreza to c.330bhp.
you on the other hand had to resort to foul and abusive language due to an inability to properly express yourself with real, good old fashioned English grammar and vocabulary.
To add salt to your gaping (but one would suggest un-noticed) wound, you had spent the first half of the thread standing up for your magnificent, inflation busting, soon to be modern classic P1, only to retract from that slightly and tell everyone else that your selling because its not practical for a family.

Irony, I would suggest so. The smarter ones will see a double irony in this
Over your head? Quite possibly.
Random expletives because I am unable to get my point across? Certainly not.

Ben, honestly m8, back off. No point getting thrown off scoobynet due to Mr Lewis pushing your buttons!
