Didn't get to pick car up until 5pm, but initial thoughs are as follows:
A dramatic improvement in both the range and smoothness of the torque. Will now even pull from low revs in 6th. The onset of boost is lower in the rev range, it now feels that it's starting to surge from as little as 2250 rpm, but the rapid progress to 7000rpm is amazing. Goes like a rocket.
Before, boost used to taper off at 6500, now it goes on and on. Might need to up the rev warning light to 7250rpm now.
Before I use to get a couple of boost spikes, now they are eliminated and it is so smmooootttthhhhhhhhhh.
The exhaust note is deep and throatie, typically a scooby sound. Very pleased as it's not too loud to be intrusive in the cabin but audible enough to make your hairs stand up. Of course this is the new 76mm TSL sportscat system with 4" pipe that I've had fitted, not the Thundercat. They've only fit 7 now, I believe.
The boys at TSL were first class. Felt very welcome, happy to chat with you, show you round and answer your questions. Even had a loan car sorted by 08:15
I didn't stick around as I had a busy day, so didn't watch the mechanics at work etc. Also they reminded me that I could take the old bits away [for sale on ebay] which I would have forgotten about in the excitement.
As the weather was sleet and rain, I only gave it 75% on the way home but landed with a big cheesy grin.
So thanks to Graham and Gavin et al @ TSL and to you guys who saved me £150.

i have had mine done today. the cars response is now great. It pulls so cleanly from low down, it does not matter if you get it in the wrong gear. They were all a friendly bunch. i just need some dry weather so i can do some private tests

Just got back in from having mine done. It's incredible how different it is now
.
So, thanks to Gareth for arranging this, and to Graham and Richard for the miracle they performed on my car.
Martin.
