Worst bit was the baby leaf spinach, a personal favourite, so salty we could not eat it! Room was so hot we could n't sleep. Above the kitchen. He wasn't there of course so cannot say much else.
Course we did the right thing and payed and shut up and left.... we still enjoy watching his food. Though when we looked at his trip across the canal du midi we saw how much salt he uses....
Good luck.
Yer slightly worries me that i am expecting so much, oh well if its sh*t i will just head to the pub and get drunk

Wow, what a great place Padstow is. It was very quiet and the local pubs were great, just what i expected. I got a little addicted to the local brew "Tribute" and as for the food well one word "amazing". Didnt manage to meet the man him self though !

The Mrs came back from there a few weekends ago after a hen weekend - thought it was OK, but she said they had all eaten better at a third of the price

TBH I took a bit of advice and avoided the posh place, the bistro is simmlar food at half the price.Chippy was £5.50 for fish and chips. Cafe worked out about £30 a head inc wine and the bistro worked out about £25 inc wine a head, this should have been about £50, but they cocked the booking up a year ago so the offered a set price meal !!!!

Padstow was quiet but think i prefered it that way, there was a great pub at the far right of the picture...

I no, is there anythin there he hasnt got his finger in !!!!????

We spoted 4 restaurants, a deli, furniture shop, art gallery, bakery and a body shop type of place oh and the seafood school, oops forgot the hotel and self contained holiday homes. Have i missed anythin !!?? Fair play to him, he has done a lot for the area money wise. We went to a few more fishing villages/towns and they were very drab places compaired to Padstow.
