Cool

STI-Frenchie uses Swissol and the results on his car are superb....

One of the cleanest sharpest looking cars I've ever seen!

Direct from Swissol UK dealer. It cleans OK, but fails to remove the real grim without a struggle.

Cheers!

If you have any sense you'll get the Meguiars range. It's as good as Swissol 99% of the time and much much cheaper. I did our Golf at the weekend and it came out like this. This was just a clear cote application and then NXT wax. Took about 2 hours from start to finish. The car had been clay bar'd about 6 months ago.

Not bad for a 6yr old car.

Swissol is a actually a rip off from the Zymol Concourse Wax sold in the USA. The guy who owns Swissol used to work for ... Swissol and then decided to go on his own in the US by selling counterfeit products under the Zymol brand name. Basically he got caught and injunction was placed against him so at that point he returned to Switzerland and started the Swissol range. Currently there is a suit against Swissol (by Zymol) for again attempting to run off the back of the Zymol by using a similar brand name (ie Swissol).

All this came to light *after* I paid 130 smackeroonies for the Swissol Concourso product - its good (far superior to Autoglym) but its not that good. At the moment I'm using P21S Carnuba wax which you can get for around 30 dollars from the US. And that stuff? Its simply awesome. Basically the same stuff as Swissol Concourso but just better.

No need to order P21S from the USA.

There is also a version called S100 which is available through most Harley Davidson dealers.

I bought some of the Autobahn wheel wax too. Should I do that before or after doing the car itself?

That looks excellent..... The one thing I am stuggling to get to grips with with my WRX is the "stealth" spoiler!.... was toying with the idea of a genuine STi wing but cost is prohibitive.... someone mentioned the DR spoiler but this is the first time i've seen one....... Where's me credit card

Have hiked round the Wasdale head/scafell area loads and dived Wastwater (Bloody cold and bloody empty...... a very nice telephone cable can be followed though sunk at about 20 metres!!!)

Love the car.... sometimes wish I'd got the Mica Blue!

Cheers

Paul
The DR Motorsport spoiler is very good quality and well worth the money.
I like wastwater but it is a very dark and cold lake a friend of mine was going to canoe across it and he go so far across and had to turn back he found the screed on the other side to imposing and it freaked him out

Attn Globalgb

We have heard all of this before.I am afraid you have got your facts wrong. Georg never returned to Switzerland from USA he has always been there. Yes Georg and Claudius did used to be the importers of Zymol into Switzerland but then developed their own range having been wax makers for much longer than Chuck Bennett at Zymol who didnt start making waxes until the 1980's

Yes as we all know there is a law suit at the moment but that doesnt compromise the quality of the product. You sound as if he has been ripped off HOW is this the case ? I would also question that P21S is any better than Swissol.

Because I used both of them and I find P21S to be far superior - I couldnt care less what fancy dan packaging Swissol comes in, its all about general experience and experience shows that P21S is a far superior product. The only advantage that Swissol has over P21S is that it lasts longer but considering that the car is polished once or twice weekly that is not a factor for me.
