Too right mate!
I'm going to get in touch with my local independant and see who they recommend. I'd still rather spend a few bob in advance on a warranty than get a large unexpected bill if shomething should go pop.

T5NYW,
I have just spoken to my dealer, and they inform me that at 33 months and older, the UNLIMITED MILEAGE cover for year 4 is £1278 on the STi.
It looks like the £1200 ish figure is correct but maybe you should have been offered unlimited mileage.

If it makes you feel any better, I will probably not get the full 5 years cover as my mileage will probably hit 60K before then.
So I have paid £1178 for probably 18/20 months cover, unless I lessen the mileage I do.

I am thankful that you posted this up, as I would have had no idea the charge was to rise so steeply, and I would probably have waited until my car was 36 months old.

Cheers
MTR

The whole thing stinks IMHO but glad your sorted Mileage was never an issue with mine as I only do about 8-9kmiles a year.

I was thinking of PX'ing wanted ot keep option open and not get screwed to badly on PX price. The saleman did say this cost would be a Factor in the Price offered.
