So what gun is it really?I was into stuff like that when a kid and would have liked to own a gun but as I've got older I realise I wouldn't want it in the house.

Pete's legally held magnum

http://home.columbus.rr.com/usautos/magpics.html

certainly answers a few questions :-

1 Why he never leaves the house

2 Yes it is legal to own one

3 Why he has no friends

4 Why he likes skoda's

5 Why he's a dreamer

6 If you read the page it's written in pete'esque crap style aswell

WARNING may not be work safe

however the picture of a naked Pete lewis waving one of these bad boys at you would be enough to chase off even the hardened criminal

Question

Dan the Man.

?

Wher does it say you can own either of these on a FAC. Only pistols/revolvers allowed are section 7 exemptions which are historic weapons and can be kept at home. Certainly not a 357 Magnum?!

I will of course stand corrected as i don't know everything!

I think you're correct. All modern hand guns were banned by the current government. To cut crime...

Having seen the damage sg shot can do at close and even moderate distance it still amazes me how easy it is to get hold of shotguns, obviously there's legitimate needs for them but sheesh they scare the bejesus out of me!!!

And one of mine is a semi auto, never understood why they bother with pump action in films, far easier to just keep pulling the trigger!

You can have handguns but they have to be black powder and have a minimum barrel length.

Simple reason for pump actions: they shoot just about anything from magnum shot to non-lethal bean-bag type shot (with low recoil). A semi wouldn't cycle reliably on all types of ammo, and especially not with a short barrel and fired from the hip .

Jiggery,

Personally don't feel the need for pump or auto shotguns in civilian life, not many multiple mole attacks on farmers these days is there!! A simple double barrel should suffice as far as i can tell!

To bypass the draconian regulations these are manufactured & known as "long barrel revolvers" and fire regular pistol ammo. We use them at our club so I know they are legit. See them for sale HERE
If you look at the picture that I posted you will see that there is an armrest welded into the frame, this and the long barrel makes the overall revolver long enough to bypass the pistol ban, plus it's a bit of a handful to use for bank robberies. Not cheap though at circa £500-600 but fun while it lasts.

So you stand corrected
