To be fair, she did have the cheek to turn round and admit that she had put on a few kilos but then accused me of not telling her which I had repeatedly. As far as the flowers are concerned I don't think it's just me that gets this unjustified reaction. It seems to me that you can't win with the other species.

I guess that the wife & I should make more time for each other and get at it more often. One thing that needs to change is her going to bed at 9'ish to read and me leaving it until 11pm. By this time she is asleep with book in hand and I don't think she would welcome me whispering sweet nothings in her ear at this point.

Seriously, NEVER rely on the timing method for contraception mate: way too hit and miss- very high failure rate and affords no protection against STDs. Ditto for coitus interuptus (Sorry my latin is awful). Condoms or -if you're in an establised relationship- the pill are by far the best.
