Start Time at RallyDrive?
What time do you guys plan to be at RallyDrive.
I shall be heading down from York - so will probably meet you there - I know the way!
Will be bringing 205 GTi road rally car, which I bought only yesterday - sorry to bring such a banger but the trackday will give me chance to check out its handling. Might even bring the knobbly tyres if I feel brave and sneek onto the gravel course!

Matty, we'll not forget We may be a little late.. but we'll be there..
I'll PM my mobile so that you can keep in touch..
RedMan... The plan is for 9-9:30.. it depends on the cars that need to fuel up in S horpe as the Saturday lad may get a little stressed with 15 cars draining the Optimax pumps...
See you there..

Ba$tid!
I have to drop out. Just been out to the car to check torque settings on my wheel nuts to find my locking nut has gone.
I always put it in the same place each time so WTF!
I hope you all enjoy the day anyway.
Damian.

Thanks Al
Oh the freedom of not having to fill up with Optimax
Will look out for you guys on the way down - but will most probably see you at the track.
If you see a black 205 on the hard shoulder give us a tow

Dave. Many thanks for a great day, as usual..
Many thanks also to all those that turned up and put in some great shows..
Dazza, Dave (RedMan), Steve & Dave (CB).. a big thanks from Sean, his mate Adam & Lianne for kindly giving them a spin... they're still smiling now
Dazza, I'm looking forward to seeing the convoy & track photos and I think Sticky will be grateful for some extra Yearbook content..which is nearly ready.. so I hear..
Hopefully I'll be the proud shared owner of a track car by the next meet. If Dave's grin is anything to go by, everytime he stepped out of his 205, then I can't wait!
All the best and hope to see you in August/September...

Well, just got back after stopping for a pint on the way home May I thank all those whom made for a thoroughly enjoyable day. A few minor (& 1 major ) mishaps occured, but in general I think this was another success. As per usual, my front left tyre didn't enjoy it, but I did
Special thanks to...
Dave (RedMan) for the gravel ride
Dazza for showing my missuse that I NEED your car
Al (& family) for helping out
Tony, John & Kenji for representing the other marques
Jason for letting me play teacher
Steve for helping Chris
War lass for representing the girlies
Steve for the comparison that made my car look
Sticky for the ever entertaining spinning Evo
Karl for leaving us to our own devices
Howard for letting us in the 1st place
Shaun for bouncing a ball across the roof of my car
...and anyone else who knows me
Can't wait to see some piccys & vids, and roll on October 1st
Cheers guys

What a result - track time, gravel time - no breakdowns and still almost 30mpg.
Oh - and bouncing a few tyres does not seem to matter when your body work is 15 years old - becomes almost like a war scar.
Thanks to Dave, Al and WYIOC for joining your party again.
Dave
PS: anybody want to get into road rallying give me a call

A big thanks to Dave and the WYIOC for organising such a great day.
I was in driving like a man posessed (in the red Golf) trying to keep Red Man and his 205 at bay during an afternoon session - excellent fun, I'd forgotten how much fun lift off oversteer is!
Full respect to Kenji too for taking to the track in his stock 1.2 Clio and caning it!
Hope to see you guys at the next Blyton event or at one or two of the meets over the summer.
Thanks again.
