Only buy a 22B if you are an enthusiast, its not a car that you (or quite a lot of people) can live with on a daily basis, the same goes for the Spec C, hardcore, not one for the softies though i love mine i wouldnt swap her for a 22b (id be going backwards) and yes, though she doesnt look like much, the enjoyment i get from driving her says it all
Now, for other choices.....
JDM STi, much better than the UK equivelent car (wr1 etc), have the body kit on, you can change the alloys etc to match, though the prices will fall just as quick as other scoobs (except the 22b)
S202.... ahhhhh a one off, lovely cars, though if you dont like your bug eyed cars that could put you off, and you would be the one to loose out, not the car.
S203. Iain Litchfield is the man to talk to, 34.5k, 320ps out of the factory, one off limited edition, well over 300lbs of torque STANDARD, no other scoob will have this sort of power/torque to date (or has had), lightweight, fully loaded, one off, rare (if there are more than 10 in the country when they start importing them id be impressed).
Or just say sod it and go for a Nissan 350Z and be different (like these if i didnt have the scoob, id have one of these )

I am not entirely sure of you are being sarcastic but there are things you may not understand, namely torque and earing.
The 360 is geared for its rpm and torqueto get it close to 200mph though it makes nearer 190 from not a lot much more power than the evo.
The evo has much more torque and is geared for 160 with a much broader powerband.
Its not all about pwr.
if it was the mclaren F1 wth just over a tonne and 630 bhp would be getting 10.5 quarter miles like andy f with 500bhp, but it comes in at 11.7 out of the box.

Come to think of it I don't think an mr340 could break 9 seconds to 100 of the standard 360, but then I am still not sure having been in several that that figure is actually true.
Ferrari are known for publishing optimistic performance figurs which journalists with timing gear have struggled to recreate. (seconds puts a standard 360 ahead of a 996 turbo with more power torque and traction (not sure about weight).Sounds optimistic to me.
That said, still think youj are probably right that an mr340 still wouldn't have the legs on a any 360 never mind a stradale.

Just to add a bit of sanity to the conversation if you are considering buying one of the FQ MR models. Being an ex MR FQ340 owner and in hindsight I wish i invested in a MR FQ 320 instead. The only difference between the 320 and 340 are the leather seats (very nice but badly tailored), the smartnav (never used it - waste of a 120 quid subscription) and the Daltek unichip that corrupts signals from the crank angle sensor.
If you are attempting to modify the car in any way (including a decat) you are well advised to remove the unichip all together as it has been configured to corrupt signals at preset levels and that may not tide too well with what other signals the ECU is receiving and might lead to a car not performing 100% or even worse detonation once you embark upon modification.
Seriously get yourself a MR 320 with a decat as a first mod - and you will never and I mean never look back on a scooby (sorry lads).
regards,
Mark

The UK cars came with a lovely looking Sonic Blue painted aluminium covered book with the first owners name and some press shots inside. Also a single A4 sized owners manual supplement...you should try and ensure you get these...just makes things that little bit more special.

In the end I decided to get the new Boxster 'S' which I pick up on the 5th March. I think it'll be a fine counterpiont to the 22B
