It was a team effort, something which seems to have been lost on the Americans in recent years.
It won't be long before they try to re-write WWI soon!

Ah, the Americans, how we love to hate them!
I find they get very touchy if I mention Veitnam, Korea, etc to them, seems they can't accept that a very foolish decision to go to war was made by their leaders.
As for WWII, oh dear. Yes their help was, well, helpfull, but for them to keep on and on about the fact that it was them who won the war for us and we should be grateful. Let's see now, who was it that cracked the enigma code, which was somewhat important I think. Wasn't the US now was it? Whose country took a ****ing beating with air raids? Wasn't the US was it?
Where does the problem lie? Fear. They are scared of everything and everyone, and it's partly due to the media, local news reports bleating about murders everyday, putting people on edge.
There's also the whole introverted way of life, not understanding that there are places outside of the "best country in the world". The sad thing is that they believe, almost too easilly, everything they see on CNN, which is not exactly known for it's accuracy, or it's ability to report on things outside the US.
I recall being in the US when "Iraq, Part 2" kicked off. We sat and watched the news coverage on CNN, then flipped over to BBC World to see what was really going on. It made us laugh, but also worried us that people were beliving everything CNN told them. Scary.
As for 9/11, don't get me started. Face it America, the terrorists HAVE won, you ARE in terror, you've increased security to over paranoid levels, you're living in terror.

More proof that most Americans are uneducated can be found in that when asked "did you know the gestation period of a rhinocerous is 560 days" 68% replied no they did'nt and what did South American Animals have to do with them anyway.
